Maybe I am missing something, but this seems like a lubricant, not a fuel system treatment.

I think this part in the description might be wrong?
"For use in gasoline, diesel, ethanol, & oil. Pour into fuel system, induce directly into combustion chamber via main manifold vacuum line and add to crankcase."

I see it lists on the amazon page like that as well, but i think that might be incorrect also? it does not say that on the walmart page from a few days ago (or on CRC's website), I'd hate for someone to spray this in their fuel tank thinking it was a fuel treatment (although who knows? maybe it would make something better?)
No. WD-40 is a water displacer (prevents rust, helps loosen stuck things), many people use it as a lubricant, but this is much better as a lubricant.

it's a mistake. that is for another product they sell unrelated to this one. someone messed up the ad.

btw, you can use this for waterproofing suade and leather boots. the manufacturer webpage on this product actually says you can use it for that

Ordered 2 though just because.

Amazon got it wrong. They have this fuel additive language for this lubricant

Is this the same silicon lub we use in garage door rollers and door hinges. It's a good idea to lube them every year I think ?

This works better as a Lubricant compared to WD-40(not really a lubricant).

I use WD40 to clean parts and use it in places to push out water to prevent rust (WD=Water Displacer)

the main difference is that WD-40 is a petroleum /oil-based product and this is a silicone based product. this product has no odor and is basically a dry lubricant once it dries which it does after about 10 seconds because the liquid carrier is acetone which evaporates extremely quick. once that evaporates, only dry silicone is left.

WD stands for water displacement. This will rust anything you use it on. Learned that the hard way 30+ years ago. This is a silicone based lubricant Absolutely perfect for the job and won't rust anything. It's all I use in the shop and out in the field doing service calls for window treatments.

I would NOT use this near a fuel system as it *might* mess up a catalytic converter. Perhaps other SD's know more, but till then and double confirm, don't.
