Woot had Amazon deliver my gray 14 oz mug 2 just now... With a "used - like new" item inventory sticker, X0047KN93F.

Anyone else get theirs yet?
Good deal!

I received mine today as well. No Amazon Warehouse (Resale now I guess) stickers of any kind, so not from Warehouse I guess. It was opened, but didn't look used, eg the coaster power cord had never been unwrapped, no marks on any of the items, sticker still on the case (saying water drops not included), all insert paper work included including some stickers. This is way nicer than I expected packaging wise (not that I care much about that unless gifting), and nicer construction, etc. too. This is a chunky beast, but it feels nicely made, like a nice thick (the base at least) piece of stoneware, except completely smooth (no speckly things).

Have it charging now, although already using it to learn my preferred coffee temp (looks like that will be the default 135F), paired up with the app fine, but I was a bit concerned seeing the 1.9 out of 5 stars in the app store, we'll see how it goes. The UI is overly clean imho... to have to go to settings to see charge level mainly. Other than that, it is super simple, almost too simple, after pairing it was just a screen filled with a solid color, current temp, and a slider on the bottom to adjust the temp you want to maintain... that THAT'S IT Big Grin.

On the one hand, I feel old AF to be excited for a coffee cup, on the other hand I feel on the cutting edge of 21st century technology because my coffee cup currently needs a firmware update Big Grin.

If you pour room temp coffee in one of these will it heat it to the set temp, or does the coffee have to be somewhat close to the temp you want when you pour it in?

My box was opened but had the original stickers on it. No scratches to the coating which is the most important thing. It looks unused.

I had v1 for years. It heats it to the desired temp without changing the taste like microwaving does. Which is my favorite aspect about the mugs. The v1 battery kind of sucked. Heating from cold drained the battery. Not sure it actually charged while heating but on the charging device.

I can tell you the v2 I got does NOT charge while on the base if also heating, it looks like the heating function uses battery faster than the charge rate. It looks like it did slow down the discharge rate though.

Regarding the app, now I see why it has low reviews. It doesn't automatically pair, and now that I have charged it so that I can update the firmware... that doesn't work either and causes the app to crash at 2% every time. Reinstalled app, cleared cache, cleared cache and data, etc. and no dice. From reviews this is a common problem, although many of the reviews have the app crashing all of the time, not being able to connect to the cup so it won't work at all, etc. Looks like the crashes are Android related (although I guess that is all I would see in the Google Play store Big Grin) as some of the reviews said they succeeded in a firmware update using an Apple device, so that is next on my list. I am hoping that the update will help the cup pair automatically when opening the app, as well as I guess making battery use more efficient, no readme so not sure what it does though.

Kinda dumb, but it is an OCD thing that I keep the firmware updated on all of my thingies unless there is a really good reason, like doing so removes features or breaks something that is a show stopper... but when that is the case, it is a compulsion to keep checking for a newer firmware that fixes the issue, and regularly searching for workaround/solutions to make everything good on new firmware, so that I don't have to run on the old one anymore.

Just received my 14oz mug 2. The box was opened and a bit distressed looking. The items in it were loose and a bit gritty. Surprisingly the mug was scratch free after wiping off the dust and dirt. It came 37% charged. Wife loves it so I guess it's a win.

I've had one for more than a year. All I can say is it is good to have, but extremely unnecessary. A double wall vacuum sealed coffee mug with a lid can serve the same purpose to keep your coffee warm for an extended time but costs far less.
Yeah I'm really trying to see how this would really be any different because i really want to need this lol. Someone tell me how this is better than my yeti mug for work

So buy the 3 tear extended warranty for $7.99. Even if Ember doesn't want to replace it you can at least submit the warranty claim and get your money back.
Where is the warranty purchase option from woot?

Also, Amazon delivered mine as well. Ember box was not in great condition. Everything was in the box, but pretty much used like new, not refurbished. Refurbished usually has things looking much nicer as far as presentation and packaging. This was not that.

No scratches though, and it's charging just fine.

Only concern is it's been empty but sometimes the app shows a temperature in the 80's….but it's empty.

Should the app be showing a temperature when the cup is 100% empty and dry?

Normally, I drink my coffee without thinking about the temp. As long as it's warm I'm OK with it. I went ahead and ordered one. So to keep from frying my tongue at what temp do most of you set yours at?

Between 120-130°F is pleasant.

You can always work your way up to be safe. If you set it to 125°F, then find that's too cool for your taste, just increase the temperature setting in the app. It'll warm up to the new setting quickly. Adjust until it's perfect for you, then save it as the default in the app.

You can even set multiple named saved temperature presets in the app, if you like your tea and coffee at different temperatures.
