These are decent no frills computing for basic to mid level tasks with small footprint in the house. Planning to replace old dell desktops for the fam.

Thanks - I ordered the green now but trying to cancel for the black (already ordered).

The green cost more than the black and then the black went away to come back as an even cheaper lightning deal. Kinda screwy but that's how the cyber cookie crumbles.

I was going to buy a Pi 5 but people seem to like these more. I was going to try a Pi-hole , VPN etc. Might still need a Pi but I want to try Linux on something small.

Get the dual LAN port version so you can also run OpenWRT if you want. N100 should be fine for your needs.
any dual lan version you can recommend?

Wondering if it would fit under my TV, the description of the black one said 4.3" tall. I knew that had to be wrong so I look at the description of the green one, it stated 1.6" tall. By the time I went back to the black one, the deal was dead!
Maybe I'll now wait until Black Friday. If they hit $99, I'll buy two.

I believe this has been around the normal price for some time now. I have one of these, the green one (bought off of Ebay for $89) and have tested using it as a Plex server accessing a NAS. I loaded Ubuntu on it with Plex running in a docker container and I have to say it is pretty capable. I also tested a Jellyfin server and it works pretty good as well. For the price, IMHO, it is a great deal. It has 2.5GB ethernet ports, stays relatively cool and will pretty much work great for standard PC tasks not requiring heavy duty processing or graphics. This will transcode in both Plex and Jellyfin. Now the downsides, single channel RAM, although not really an issue in Plex or Jellyfin for most users but still something to know. No internal connection for an additional SSD or NVME drive. Most other mini PC's have either an internal SATA port or second NVME slot. Mine has a second M2 slot but is is for a network card or similar card, it will not accept any M2 drive I have tried or read about. (If you have found out otherwise, please let me know). Last but not least, the fan can sometimes get pretty loud under load. Still, if you are looking to replace a RPI or another obsolete PC on a budget, then this will fit the bill.

The green and black are both sold by GMKtec Store but the full retail on the green is $179.00 and full retail on the black is $159.99. I read specs and they seem the same. Can you spot any difference?. I bought the green and then a few hours later the black came in $120s so I bought the black and canceled the green but now I have them both and want to return one. I didn't like the green but everything I own s black so green might be better

Not wanting to be petty but for a good part of the year, the green NUC G3 has been under $140. I know this because I have been looking at it on Amazon. When I was bidding on the Ebay auction in Feb of this year, it was under $140. So they list a retail price but I have not seen it listed at that price. Either way, if you got the black one for $120, seems like a good deal congrats.

I got the "black" delivered but its not black - its "Titanium Grey."
The Intel sticker is on the left corner and not the right (like the green).
Next to the Intel sticker.is a Windows sticker - its not on the green.
I looked around online and saw some recent GMKtec G3s with same stickers.

The green one I got (I bought two) the day before so I saw it in person.
When I got the Titanium Grey I thought maybe I got a fake but its sold by same seller and reviews were good. The Titanium Grey is a nice color compared to the black

It is 4.X" by 4.X" length x width and 1.6" tall.
