Serious question, if I have a bunch of like medium sized rocks in my yard, half buried definitely too heavy to dig up and lift, can I use an sds plus drill to break them apart and, ya know, get rid of them?
I know there's also expanding rock breaking stuff, saw it on the YouTube. Drill a hole, pour rock expanding stuff in, come back tomorrow.

as far as breaking up the rock, these will just be for drilling holes into said rocks.
Almost seems like you would want to rent (maybe from home depot) an SDS Hammer Drill with a chisel tip to break apart the rocks!

An option would be to get the correct chisel and hammer and pound away. the chisel should be made for stone and the hammer should be made to hit metal. If you have a sledge hammer you could pound away without the chisel. Wear eye protection.
You will have more success breaking up the rock if you first dig around them. If they are surrounded by dirt it will lessen the effect of hammering.
You may hit the rock a few times and it appears nothing is happening, but hit it enough and it will split. The question is how much is enough. You will find out when the rock splits.
It doesn't affect my answer but what size is medium? Your idea of medium is different from someone else's. It is more informative to give an estimated measurement as best you can such as 30 inches across.
