Google that if you want to double check.
I just got a denial letter stating this exact reason. 800+ credit score. Credit utilization probably less than 5% of total credit, never carry balance. I churn most credit cards except the no annual fee ones and a few premium travel cards.

Agree. I was rejected for the exact reason.
I have this card, I pushed through the app without unfreezing anything. Got an inbound phone call about 15 minutes later from a call center agent that instructed me which one to unfreeze. Honestly can't remember.
But, it was a painless process. I.e. they don't just flat out deny you and make you start all the way over.
I can tell you that best bang for the buck on this card is when using to book hotels through https://www.aadvantageh
I solely use that for hotel booking, foregoing any Hotel points through credit cards.
The average three night stay, if you book through the URL above may offer something like 300 AA Miles for a booking.
When you use this credit card, it jumps up to like 7500 miles vs 300.
I was in Scottsdale last week and stayed at a Hampton Inn for three nights. Payout was 10,000 miles.
This year alone, took my wife and kids to Universal Orlando and NYC, for free aside from the $11 processing fees.
That too requires some planning, but it was/is a great card for me.

As you know AA switched to LP instead of segments and other qualifying criteria for AA status like Plat. GOLD ex Plat
Those 7500 miles when they posted into your AA advantage account are they AA miles or AA LPs loyalty points?

Good question, and they post as BOTH miles and loyalty points.

I recently booked OKC to Charlotte (more than 1/2 way across country) for 26k round trip for the non stop flights.
I did a quick check this morning--- for Sat to Wed --- LAX to Washington Dulles in early November and it was 37.5k round trip for the non-stop both ways, and only 21k round trip if you took the nonstop on the way there and were willing to stop in DFW on the return flight.
So, from what i can tell, 75k is likely two long round trips back and forth.
In my general experience the past two years, I have found that AA.com's points prices are pretty reasonable.
Bonus every two years or two years after closing the previous one?
That's using your Gmail or respective email provider

I remember the good ole days when it was only 12/24 months. Now it's all switched to 48.
Not sure I'll believe them, but at least if you apply with the agent that confirmed eligibility, they have a record of the call. Proly best to record the convo, too.

Is that specifically for you or does it look like it's open for others to apply? Thinking about applying for the card.
