K2 is not safe if you got HBP, also risking blood clot. So very high risk of stroke.

Excuse me what? Do you have literature to back this statement up? I've worked in medicine for over a decade and never heard of isolated cholecalciferol increasing risk of thrombosis.

For optimal absorption and utilization of Vitamin D3, both Magnesium and Vitamin K2 can play important roles. Here's a breakdown of how each contributes and why they can be beneficial when taken together with Vitamin D3:

Role of Magnesium
Activation of Vitamin D: Magnesium is crucial for the conversion of Vitamin D into its active form, 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D (calcitriol). Without sufficient magnesium, the body may not effectively utilize Vitamin D.
Bone Health: Magnesium itself is important for bone health, as it helps in the formation of bone structure and aids in the absorption of calcium.
Role of Vitamin K2
Calcium Utilization: Vitamin K2 directs calcium to the bones and teeth and away from the arteries and soft tissues. This helps to prevent vascular calcification and supports cardiovascular health.
Synergy with Vitamin D3: Vitamin K2 works synergistically with Vitamin D3 to enhance bone mineralization and overall bone health.
Combined Benefits
Enhanced Calcium Metabolism: Taking Vitamin D3 with both Magnesium and Vitamin K2 ensures that calcium is absorbed effectively and directed to the right places in the body.
Improved Bone and Cardiovascular Health: The combination supports both bone density and cardiovascular health by preventing inappropriate calcium deposition.
Recommendations
Balanced Supplementation: If you are taking Vitamin D3 supplements, it may be beneficial to also ensure adequate intake of Magnesium and Vitamin K2. This can often be achieved through a balanced diet, but supplements can be considered if dietary intake is insufficient.
Consult a Healthcare Provider: Before starting any new supplement regimen, consult with a healthcare provider to tailor the approach to your specific health needs and conditions.
Food Sources
Magnesium: Leafy green vegetables, nuts, seeds, whole grains, and legumes.
Vitamin K2: Fermented foods (like natto), certain cheeses, and animal products such as egg yolks and liver.
Conclusion
For the best effect of Vitamin D3, it is beneficial to ensure adequate levels of both Magnesium and Vitamin K2. These nutrients work together to optimize calcium metabolism, supporting both bone and cardiovascular health. Always seek professional medical advice to determine the appropriate supplementation for your individual needs.

Source? I thought it was the opposite that K2 helps keep arteries from calcium buildup?
You're right if you get the right one but regular vitamin k is for clotting. Vitamin K2 (Menaquinone-7) supplementation does not affect vitamin K-dependent coagulation factors activity in healthy individuals but I'm not risking it

That seems high. Most of the literature I've read says the max should be 4000IU for those that aren't deficient. Most doctors probably would recommend 1000-2000 for those who are not deficient in my experience.
This aligns with my experience. I'm on the low side of normal, not technically deficient. My doctor recommended 2000 IU (50mcg) daily.

She didn't mention anything about Vitamin K, so i won't be taking that.
