Before that i had samsung freestyle(1st gen, 2nd is basically the same):
- it's not as portable as freestyle, this one is like normal size projector(something like 2kg) and you can't power it via usb-c, power brick is really huge tho
- WebOS is way faster than what samsung have, but with less apps
- keystone and autofocus almost non existent(especially if you're projecting to >3m) and settings are kinda laggy
- remote is extremely cool - gyro, with led, ergonomic and heavy
- brightness, sharpness and color accuracy really good for this price range(<800$), real 1000 ANSI lumen, maybe not completely enough for HDR, but after samsung with 250 ANSI it's like the most vivid picture lol
- sound is crap, and you gonna have that ambient light if you want to
In general i'm pretty happy with it, anyway you don't have a lot of decent 4k DLP options for that money. LG are kinda don't care about projectors, so be ready that they gonna drop support of this projector soon, anyway i'm using apple tv with it.
I'll note on Amazon this has much more mixed reviews than on B&H. There's generally not many reviews on either retailer though.

How do you like it? How's the brightness, sharpness, and color accuracy? Is it portable?

Shouldn't you at least watch the video review before posting it?

Thinking about freestyle 2 and much appreciated your inputs π

i recommend you to skip a freestyle, it has really narrow usecase(camping and so on) and in general it's pretty much useless as a projector because of the brightness

I have the freestyle 2. Bought it because I had some Samsung credit. It's a strong alright and does the job - but spec wise, this LG looks much stronger. What I do love about the freestyle is that it comes with Xbox cloud gaming built in. (Not sure if LG has that). You can play Xbox on it and it's actually pretty decent. Just a thought if it's applicable at all.

i mean i usually use apple tv with any tv or projector because of ecosystem, i can check for xbox cloud gaming if you want to, but 99% sure that it's not there
