Folks, with new AMD and new Intel mobile gen 2 chips releasing as we speak, the last Gen (only 6 months old actually) will be plummeting as the new chips are VASTLY improved! 95% of these posts lately are NOT deals. The competition is unlike ever before in the PC space. You will regret buying at these prices in a matter of a month or 2.

oh, this is the XPS that doesn't have physical function buttons(including esc key) and headphone jack..

edit: this XPS 14 does have a headphone jack, and XPS 13 is the one that doesn't even have a headphone jack

Good deal for this config. Just for fun, upgrade the 16GB RAM to 64GB. Make sure you're sitting down...

Only if you want AI. Otherwise, you won't even notice a difference.

You're very wrong... Both new chips from AMD and *Intel represent a big leap, especially in efficiency. Wrt Intel, the igpu is much better. Just because it has AI in the name, doesn't mean it's a gimmick (though most things are, AMD new chips aren't)

I bought xps16, used it for 3 weeks ongoing problems replacement of keyboard, and then when updated via dell app, after update lost data, programs, could not use it. Send it to dell, over 2 months for them get replacement parts, replacement of many items. Got it in July. They refused to exchange 3 days after 30 days of recipient of the unit
Never again buying dell and I am stuck paid $2,300 used it for 3 weeks now November i MAY get it back
Don't buy dell. They only care to get your money and worst customer service and pro warranty is crappie

I've been buying XPS since the initial launch of the 13" model. I'm looking at other options, and have short listed an LG Gram 16" OLED 2-in-1 and the new Microsoft 15" Surface laptop. Open to suggestions.
My wife's LG Gram 13, on year 8, no issues, only normal Windows issues. Asus and LG, I'm mainly interested. Only if exists cannot refuse deal, then Samsung, Microsoft, HP. I.E., saw a Samsung Core 7, 16gb RAM, 1tb SSD, 14 inch, for $399, but was OOS. Good luck!

Had 2 Dells last 5 years only long ago. Won't be going back.

Wait for the Intel Core Ultra 200 Series 2. Battery efficiency is amazing beyond Apple M series. Should be release in a few days

I know. I meant in the online order configuration, choose 64GB instead of 16GB.
Make sure you add the 4TB nvme and the 4050 as well.

Luna Lake is made on TSMC's 3nm process, so at least on par with Apple M3 in terms of performance per watt. The current Core Ultra was made by Intel's own 7-nm fabrication if I'm not mistaken
There's quite a bit more separating ARM(RISC) and Intel(CISC) in performance per watt than just the process.
