Was $317 December 2023. That was slick.

This is a decent price if you need/want it now.
$317.08 to be precise.
I've got one, have not had to use it yet.
So true. We had to hunker down in our bedroom for two weeks after a hurricane. My small 110v generator ran a refrigerator, window shaker AC and the tv. Hard to find gas and my neighbors with big generators couldn't buy enough fuel Propane generators were SOL as well

One more thing I will add. Buy a carbon monoxide detector and a case of oil. The oil in air cooled generators is a coolant not just a lubricant. Change the oil frequently.

For everyone saying wait for cheaper bigger deals, this one is an inverter style. Usually the deals this cheap are the non-inverter style (louder/not as clean of power output). I have the gas-only version of this a local store had for $300 last year, works great! It started first pull the only time I actually needed it (for 1min before the power came back, after waiting 2 hours with no power thinking it'd be back on sooner ha!)

This is a perfect storm generator. Ran
it 9 days straight after a hurricane. Powered dull size fridge, separate full size freezer, internet, TV, 15k btu windows air container and some lights flawless. Easy pull. Very efficient on fuel. Larger generators take a lot more fuel, this is the perfect efficiency for situations like this. Bigger is not always better.... the inverter was also waaay quieter than other standard generators this size or larger. Easy to pull start.

Firman is hit and miss since it is costco returned refurb and some had extensive use. But it is enclosed and therefore quieter

Even on propane? I have a champion 2500 dual fuel and it's dang near impossible to start.
Yes, the fuel type you use doesnt matter. The starter fluid/Ether is going to burn exceptionally fast and help start the motor.

These are what they call "open-frame inverters". They generate a smooth sine wave and are notably quieter than a standard generator, but they are not nearly as quiet as a "closed frame" or regular inverter generator.

Does anyone know what is needed to convert this to run on Natural Gas instead of Propane. I know NG has less energy than Propane, so it needs more of it.

You'll need a motor snorkel kit. Google this generator model followed by snorkel kit.

Exactly! Better than nothing, but not by much. Wait a couple of months and you should be able to get an electric start, higher wattage generator on wheels for a few dollars more.
For wheels I am only moving mine on flat surfaces, concrete floor, porch, etc. I just ziptie a $8 Harbor Freight furniture mover to it. If I need to roll it "across country" I'll pick it up and put in one of my Gorilla Carts.

Great idea with the furniture mover, thank you.

Are you priming it before you attempt to start it? Mine fires right up but I have to give it a number of pulls in the "priming" mode first.

I wasn't able start mine with propane when I received it. I called Champion and they sent me new regulator/hose. It then started right away.
Unfortunately my replacement arrived a few weeks ago. Finally tried it last night, and nothing. I've got so few hours on it bc it won't start without 100 pulls, and tons of hooking and rehooking the regulator. So frustrating. I'll try a fresh plug again and hopefully it works. Def shopping for a remote start cause I've sprained my back in Colorado dealing with the 2500.

Thanks for the heads up - going to wait until BF or Dec. Anything sub $325 and I would bite.

They sent you a replacement hose and it still doesn't start?
