For those wondering, this is the first game in the reboot and the prequel (play the prequel after the first game).
  • Wolfenstein: The New Order (released in 2014)
  • Wolfenstein: The Old Blood (released in 2015)
  • Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus (released in 2017)
  • Wolfenstein: Youngblood (released in 2019)

What about that 2009 game, is that also part of this reboot series?

I didn't think so but seems like it's very mildly a sequel (as in some easter eggs but nothing major).

Personally I thought Youngblood was really good when I stopped trying to pretend it was supposed to be a sequel to the reboots. It was more like a reboot of the reboot. The open world concept was actually really cool once I figured it out...was a little convoluted at first.

Some of the teen girl angst was pretty "cringe" (where I think half of the hate from the video game community seems to come from) however you aren't forced to watch that stuff if you don't want to.

I was specifically going to mention Fanatical [fanatical.com] because it's a better deal. You can get the 2 pack and Dishonored or Fallout 3 as well for $7. These are great games I've played New Order, Old Blood, and New Colossus. The best of the three is New Order it has the most Half-Life 2 like puzzle experience, but they're all fun, have great graphics, voice acting, cut scenes, story, and beautiful and interesting level design. Oh and there's no fudging jump puzzles like Doom Annihilation. I did find a trick for them though, I was playing High on Life (a Rick and Morty-ish FPS) and it had a jump puzzle I couldn't do with the keyboard. I plugged in the gamepad and got it on my first try after figuring out which keys to press.

For those who care, the GOG version of the games are DRM free with no activation or online connection required to play. Fanatical are Steam keys, which have Steam's DRM.

Yep, GOG copies are simply worth more. You don't need GOG Galaxy, although it's quite good! You can download the installation & supporting files for each game to have an offline installation of your games.

Store your GOG library on that old external hard drive you have laying around collecting dust...

Fun games, played them all.
Wish they made more in the series.
