Not only is it $40 cheaper but you still get a one-year warranty that you can redeem through Apple anyway so I don't really see the point of bringing up the refurb

I get your point. Sadly, SD had become a forum for people to insult, or be all snarky when they disagree with you. It's become toxic just like other social media. The sad part, it just breeds more toxicity. Especially from loyalists.

The fact that Apple refurb is almost same price signal a deals value. Your comment adds value/context, while the replies are noise and bitter, probably reflecting their own lives.

How are you getting to $1399? APINSIDER is only taking $100 off for me which takes it down to $1449, not $1399.
