Very good, somehow 16 gb is cheaper than 8 gb and this is 15 inch too. I bought this at bestbuy a week ago for $100 more and I'm going to price match

Bought this at Best Buy a week ago,. I contacted customer service to try and get a price match/refund the difference, the rep couldn't do it.

Thanks OP! Was just looking at these with the kiddo the other day, she's graduating college in May and due for a laptop upgrade. As a PC person it's insane what Apple charges for ram/storage upgrades, but this is was a great way to grab the 16/256 version for about $1100 after tax. I expect this to last for a while and she can add storage with extrernal drives or cloud storage, more ram seemed like the better option for future proofing.

If you want a bigger screen real-estate but can't afford the MacBook Pro 16 in. then I think this is one of the better deals to get this.

FWIW, I always buy Pros even if an Air would be fine. I've found they are built to last and perform well for at least 8 years. My 2015 MBP is just now starting to really show its age and my 2008 before that was a similar experience.

16GB is now the base model cost, they dont offer 8GB model anymore. This occurred over the past few weeks.

Depends what you're doing. I'm a developer who's only interested in these for Xcode, and even I'd rather save the money for the Air.
