I've boughht several guitars and camera gear from Adorama without problems. I've done a couple returns as well and have never had a problem other than that website popular I posted earlier.
Same good experiences with b&h, though just with camera gear.

If shills are email only deals that sell banging gear for used prices then point out another.
out of my budget right now, this thing is art!
I've purchased lots of stuff from both adorama and PAS, marked either as open box or used, and each time they were brand new and never opened. B&H I've always purchased new and had to return something once because I didn't realize what bought was included in something else I bought and I had to eat the return shipping cost of the prepaid return label (which was very reasonable). While it wasn't free like with amazon, it wasn't their fault either, it was mine.

The same shill posts every single Adorama post and it has exact same number of upvotes from his friends or other accounts. It's pathetic.
They followed up to make sure the right guitar was delivered. I've been using Adorama for years with no complaints, and this is the first time they've sent an email like that after an order. So there may have been a big screw up with all the Gretsch deals.
