Trying to weigh the benefits of opening 1 SW personal card and 1 SW business card vs 2 Chase Ink Business Cards that offer $900 each and 12 months zero interest. Would love to take advantage of all offers, but I realize opening the 2 SW cards will take a 2 card hit against the Chase 5/24 rule.

Or does the Chase Ink Business and SW Business cards really not impact the 5/24 rule? If that's the case, curious what's the max number of Chase Ink Business cards you have opened in a single year. I've only tried 2 per year.

Any insights appreciated.

Business cards won't add to your 5/24 rule. I do believe that even with business cards you have to wait 2 years between getting another bonus.

I called chase customer service, but they didn't answer my question. I had the Chase SW Plus (Gray Card) and previously got a SUB. I closed the account on 06/01/2023. I recieved the SUB on that account after signup in a month or two after 05/29/2022 (sign up date). The agent was useless and could not find my old card on when I recieved a SUB. Assuming August 2022. Am I good to sign up for the Credit Card to get the SUB again? Or what should I do here?
You have to wait 2 years from when you got the bonus to get another bonus.

Thanks. Sounds like the Southwest cards have a two year wait period between SUB, but in my experience Chase Ink cards do not. I opened 1 Ink Cash and 1 Ink Unlimited each year without any issues. From what I've read some people recommend waiting 3 months between opening Chase Ink cards.

Only two days left on this offer. And, now the timing is right for the bonus points to hit in 2025 (if you plan correctly), so you get a bulk of the way to companion pass in 2025

[ P.S. If you are interested in companion pass, look at first page of this Thread, sixth post, for an explanation on how this helps you get there. ]

Is the Plus card worth it if you plan to cancel in a year ? What is the best way to redeem the points?

Only worth it if you plan on flying SW. There are better offers if you are looking for other types of redemption.

Yes, worth it -- even if you plan on canceling in a year. [[ I'm not sure there are better offers from other airlines ]]

It's a $69 annual fee cost, and you get approx $1,180 worth of points. That is the understood-value of 85,000 in points.

Frankly, you should cancel every year, and reapply every 2 years, when these larger bonuses are offered. You are allowed to get bonuses on this card every 2 years

You redeem the points by booking flights at Southwest.com using points instead of $$$. This offer will provide your points-account with the points.
You can go to southwest.com now and look at points costs for a sample flight you might want to take. When you are ready to book, you can also book a flight for someone else, using your points.
Using points, You can book flights and cancel at least 10 min before flight time, and get all points back. No consequence for timely cancellations

I am more than 24 months since I last received a sign up bonus then canceled the card last week. If I re-applied today, is that enough of a wait to be eligible for the sing up bonus again? Thanks!

As a current cardholder, I have a referral offer that doesn't expire until the 17th. Wonder if I can hold out another week before sending a referral link to P2 to give a little more time to hit the SUB bonus in January?

I've heard Chase can pull these offers at any time. Anyone have any experience with that happening, even though it says it doesn't expire until the 17th, or am I safe in waiting another week?

Either:

One personal card + one business card (Initial bonus from both cards in 2025 would get you there)

or

One personal card bonus + a couple referrals in 2025 (where you would get bonus points for referring others).

To get the benefit of the Companion Pass and for 2025-2026, you'd need the bonuses to hit in 2025.

So you'd need to delay your application (to early Oct) and delay finishing your spending requirement to early January so that your 85,000 bonus points hit in 2025. Then you also get 10,000 companion points from Southwest in 2025 for being a card holder. So you are already at 95,000 or more out of 135,000 for companion pass eligibility points in 2025. Once you get there, two referrals in 2025 should do it -- even without the business card. Referral bonuses have been 20k each lately. Google Chase Refer a Friend portal to find out about that.

Good luck.

P.S. And as to someone else's prior comment......about getting 'refunded for the annual fees'....I don't know how to do that. I have always had to pay the annual fees for these cards, but the points are worth way more than the annual fees so I am fine with that -- even if you don't try for a companion pass....to me, 85,000 bonus points is worth at least ten times the $69 annual fee.
Is it necessary to for both bonuses to hit at same time for companion pass? if i already have 80+k miles promo from personal card from a couple years ago which are unused, can i just do the business card in nov and get bonus in jan for companion?

man I dont think I am going to be approved cause I just noticed my BoFA and Wells CC's gave me like $70k credit limit combined.. I went into review.. damn.. Wish they would ask you if you want a higher credit limit instead of these companies just giving you more..

Using points to pay the annual fee is a waste. 6900 points can get you a one way flight that could cost around $110 to buy.
