Semi-soft rubber. Definitely not plastic. If you are like me who concerns about the quietness, this is better compared many others I have tried

These are great in house slippers, I am currently wearing a pair as I write this and I'm on my 7th year with these. At this price all get new pair and start using my old ones outside around the neighborhood

I have both and love each for different reasons. Alpha bounce is more comfy b/c the material is harder which I like (if that makes sense..kind of like hard seats in a car). The comfort slides are softer and also comfy and they conform to your feet over time (kind of like memory foam). For the price, comfort slides cannot be beat; however, alpha bounce still comes out on top. I rotate wearing and love both products. In fact I have 2 pair of the comfort slides to go along w/ the bounce.

They're different. I would definitely choose the Alphabounce as an overall use slide, indoors and outdoors. The Comfort Slide is more of an indoor slide that is super comfortable and soft, but not as sturdy and sits lower. I love both though, and as long as you recognize the differences I think you will too.
