very quiet and I don't hear any high pitch squeel or anything, much quieter than our other fridges. as to if it's quiet enough for a BR, that's too subjective for me to have confidence in. I think so but you may have a stronger sensitivity to it's particular sound. we got this to more attractively full the cabinet hole left from a trash compactor and will probably rarely turn it on, just using it as a expensive shelving unit

The one I received could not cool. I think it was missing the freon. The replacement has cracked plastic inside. Repacking these to send back is a pain. Beach Camera and Deco Chef are part of the same company.
