I'm a huge proponent of Ball watches for their use of tritium tubes, long established heritage to American Railroad timings, price points, quality and design. This thing is a stupid beautiful at a crazy good price. Blue on Blue for the win.
My only nitpicks, why on earth is there no tritium on the seconds hand (everybody is cutting corners these days it seems) and I've never been a fan of the cyclops window. Rubber strap would be nice as a secondary in the box, but as the primary sucks for the consumer. Given the nature of the watches "Fireman" marketing, I get it and know it would surely be comfortable and attractive, but still.... However Ball's own website shows the Fireman collection to be moving into dress watch design, so somebody needs to get fired.
I can't seem to find a spot on review or unboxing or any concrete real world comments on this watch - I seem to find possibly older generations where the dial has a track marker containing minute designation whereas this one has a plain track with inset applied indices. Not necessarily red flags, but hard to purchase on faith alone when I hear Jomashop can be difficult to work with and sells grey market without warranty support, I've never gone through them.
Again, entirely weird the uptick in automatic watches on Slickdeals recently. I swore a few months ago it was nothing but guitars, and hopefully we will swing back around to mid tier desktop PCs at some point.
Anyways, this thing looks awesome, your call to roll the dice on the seller.
For reference,
Looking at Joma's Ball current sale offerings, I personally own and paid more for this one:
https://www.jomashop.co
$850
And if I felt the need to add to my collection, would purchase this one today.

I almost pulled the trigger on a moonphase watch which I really liked last time. Unfortunately it isn't sold anymore.
I did scoop up a rainbow tritium engineer II this time - https://www.jomashop.co
