About this game:- As a member of the village's local "Defence Force" tasked with the protection of Kratus, Roddick learns of a mysterious disease that has broken out in the neighboring town. Those infected turn to stone, but continue to live on in a petrified state.
- Roddick, along with his two friends Millie and Dorne, make their way to the neighboring town. Informed of a cure for the sickness, they head to Mt. Metorx where a healing herb is rumored to grow. When they reach the summit, the party encounter Ronyx and Ilia, who appear before them in a pillar of light.

Are you a fellow Millennial (or other retro game enjoyer) who pines for the Golden Age of JRPGs (the 90s), when games had well-written characters with colorful personalities, great development arcs, and fascinating, original plots? This is the game for you. This is a gorgeous remake of one of the last games to be released on the SNES, which was so jam-packed with features and content it stretched the absolute limits of what an SNES cartridge could do.
Gameplay is zippy and fun, more 'real time' than turn-based (more like Chrono Trigger or Secret of Mana than Final Fantasy). Stat min-maxers will have a field day optimizing character builds, but it's also not strictly necessary to do so if you're a filthy casual like me. The story is one of the most well-done mashups of fantasy and sci-fi I've encountered in a game (IMO that combo doesn't always work out well, but it does here). Game has a great soundtrack and tons of replayability, since you can choose your own party composition which has an effect on the direction of the story and conclusion. Tons of optional character interactions build up your reputation among party members, which also affects story. Such a fantastic game!

i bought my kid a switch lite.
do i need to buy an online nintendo card in order to buy this game and play?
can i just wifi the switch and buy it and play offline?
i really dont want to get invested in a yearly sub like xbox live, just trying to find offline games for the kids.
