I bought it yesterday for $2340 with Capital One Shopping's 13.6% cash back. Just got the email confirming $316 cash back plus Lenovo's $70 cash back (store credit).
Great deal.
Lenovo is crazy.
I ordered the same laptop yesterday with same price. But I applied student discount, EXTRAFIVE coupon also additional discount added by representative. Now I am seeing the same price with just one coupon. LOL
I just bought a refurb of this exact Legion 7 laptop, and it's great. I use it as a primary gaming machine now and being able to take it with me is fantastic. That being said, the Mac is an entirely different use case. If you're in the Apple ecosystem and/or you don't plan on gaming, I would probably get a similarly priced Mac; however, if you want to game at all, I would get this. As powerful as those Macs are, gaming support for Macs is still awful and this is going to blow pretty much every Mac out of the water on the gaming front.

Yes - this laptop runs hot and thermally throttles - like all laptops running beastly specs like this. I 3d printed some feet for mine that allow a little more airflow and that seems to make a huge difference when gaming at a table top. You could pickup a laptop cooling pad for a couple bucks as well. It's a little big and uncomfortably warm for lap use. You can under volt if that's your use case, but you can't really get full use out of the GPU unless you're connected to an external monitor (of course there are exceptions).

Overall, a great deal that is unmatched. Very solid build quality and the Lenovo Legion Pros, I think, are the best built of this class of the desktop replacements. You could get a slightly better machine for nearly twice the price, but unless you need something lighter there's no point.
What's the lighter comparable laptop?

The two that come to mind immediately are the Razer Blade 16 & Alienware M18. Both feel a lot more compact, but I believe are arguably better (at twice the price).

Alienware M18 $ 3800

I have this laptop with the intel processor. Only cons are large power supply brick and battery doesn't last very long, even when not gaming. Everything else is amazing.

I've been using the same laptop for nearly three months now, with the only change being the processor (i9 13900x). It's incredibly fast and robust. Definitely worth the investment.

I paid $2,199.00 refurbished after taxes.

Have you used ThrottleStop for undervolting?

It is a game changer

Man, I was hoping for a 4080 model to go on sale, but this is mighty tempting. I do work in AI sometimes, so the 4090 might actually be materially useful for me once in a while...
does ai use that much processing power

Does this void the warranty? I'd like to try this

It's less about the power and more about the VRAM, the laptop 4090 gets 16GB versus 12GB on the 4080 if I am remembering correctly

I bought this and it out performs my desktop 4070, I leave this thing plugged in at all times. It sips power like a boss. Recommend those Amazon fan cooling stands to help cool this laptop down.

Battery drains down within 40 mins, some games I have been playing is Forza, Wuthering Waves, and some MOBA titles.

Why 16"? So small... You can rarely find 17.3 display now.

Well I'd hope a mobile 4090 outperforms a desktop 4070.

For a desktop card comparison, this has the same performance as a desktop 3080 at its best performance. Eg not throttled. Or just a little bit above a 4070.

I'm going to call it, this one will be $1999 on BF, the 4080 version will be $1699.

Ryzen 9000 CPUs and RTX 5090s coming in a few months. Time to clear out the last-gen junk.
