So about 3-4 years ago, I got this as a used controller from a local GameStop. They sold it to me for $12.99 used and it has had 0 issues to this day. I'm not sure if it was a price error or what, but check your local GameStops. You never know!

It's likely the classic spinning weights inside. The "HD rumble" is what most third party controllers don't support. It's basically haptic feedback.

I've got a few of the AA version, and I'm pretty happy with them. Mine do not have rumble, or Amiibo functionality either. Personally, I would try to get a warranty with them, if they are like my version, they are not easily repairable once the joysticks go out. I usually try to buy this kind of stuff from walmart, as the squaretrade warranties are cheap.

Honestly, these PowerA controllers are kind of crappy for the pricetag they command. Yeah, they're officially licensed and yeah, they have some pretty cool/fun artwork but, if I were paying full price, I'd much rather spend a little bit more and get the official Pro Controller from Nintendo. Or the 8bitdo Ultimate with Hall Effect sticks.

The PowerA controllers are ok. They're just not great and, personally, I think you can find better controllers for the same price or even less than these are cost.

Ah, you're right. I didn't realize that they haven't released a switch version of the 2C yet.

There's still the 8bitdo Ultimate C and also the Ultimate. Both of which have switch versions and are nicer than the PowerA. Edited my post above to link to the Switch compatible C instead of the 2C
