Even Blu-rays are compressed, quit with the clown act.
If you use a sound bar and don't own a 4k player these should be more than enough.

Wait are you alleging anything playing from an input like an Apple TV which I don't have through a receiver will show as 4K???!! I have done this info thing with multiple movies in the past 2 weeks I have had the receiver through my Roku. It shows output of 5.1 and output of HD it does not always show Atmos or Dolby Digital. This is funny. Ready for this? I also have the iTunes Extras. And because you are being rude I won't post it. I am just trolling you all for no reason whatsoever when I have never came on these forums making stuff up. How about you show me proof a receiver will show the output is something completely different than actual.
Edit: also my TVs have never had a 4K symbol do yours? I have HDR and Dolby Atmos show up in the corner. This is Dolby Digital 4K I believe but it Atmos on Apple TV and that pops up in the upper corner. I have a 77" LG OLED77C3PUA 4K OLED Smart TV (2023 Model).
