AT&T & T-Mobile offer $1K value for iPhone 12 with their premium plans. Many are buying it for trading in with their carrier. Already got a 12 from Metro last deal, which was $50 more.
Keeping my current phones (13 and higher) as spares so I can trade these in instead for less.
Check out the unlock policy link I shared earlier.

So it's futile if you try to alter your name, use a different card, or change the shipping address once you're flagged. You need a new person that they can identify to be real to set up a new account with them.
I first used my id to play the game back in March and I thought an iPhone 12 for $100 + a month service was a good deal to be used for as a trade-in device with my carrier (Metro's parent company!) when the 16 series was released. In May I played the Samsung tab game using my wife's id as my own id had apparently been blocked. In August I used my son's id to play the tab game again. Almost all credit card numbers I used are shared in the family. And I also used the same address for all orders.
When iPhone 12 was dropped to $50 (and finally to $0), I wanted to play the game again, hoping I could just use carrier-locked 12's for trade-in since the 12's I purchased earlier had become unlocked and I could probably sell them for a decent price. So I tried my daughter's name. I got to the point when I was presented with some id verification questions. But none of the questions applied to her - she only turned 18 last month and apparently there's not much info about her yet. So it didn't work as apparently those questions are about someone who has the name name as my daughter. What a relief they have depleted the inventory of iPhone 12
I think they have also changed the algorithm to disallow more than two devices per account. Back in March or May, somebody discovered a trick to place multiple orders by connecting one of the Metro devices just activated to the Metro/T-Mobile network. But that trick didn't work for me in my August tab game.
BTW, a redditor posted that iPhone 13 will be available for $100 next week (https://www.reddit.com/r/MetroPCS..._now_free/ [reddit.com]). Not sure if that's going to happen as Metro doesn't even sell 13's. Maybe they'll have new shipments from Apple? In any case my love affair with Metro is over. I'll see if they get me off the blacklist next year

"Sorry, we couldn't reserve your number.
We're weren't able to connect with your carrier to get your number reserved. Please continue with a new number, or visit a store to complete your number transfer. Promotions may vary in-store."
Got the email from Google saying I had to unlock my number for $3. Did that and now Metro says that number can't be transferred. Another waste of time trying to get a deal I don't need
