AT&T & T-Mobile offer $1K value for iPhone 12 with their premium plans. Many are buying it for trading in with their carrier. Already got a 12 from Metro last deal, which was $50 more.
Keeping my current phones (13 and higher) as spares so I can trade these in instead for less.
Check out the unlock policy link I shared earlier.

I'll try later
Do I need to do anything other than just letting service lapse for the IMEI to be freed up? Like do I need to port out the 1st line? Or wait 60 days for the number to get recycled? Or I need to port out both lines?
Thank you for all the help you always provide
I have just ordered a couple of these and want to make sure that I understand the process. I currently don't have another active Metro line so it sounds like I would not be able to sell both phones as locked if I were to keep them unopened?
We actually have a visiting relative who could use a plan, but since I currently don't have another active Metro line it sounds like I would not be able to transfer the service from one of the ip12's to his phone (which is unlocked) unless I were to open and activate one of the ip12's, is that right?
Also, what is the time limit for activating the service? I would like to transfer the service on the second ip12 for my relative's second month but I'm not sure if it is possible to wait that long before activating the service?

I believe Metro automatically activates a device 21 days after shipping.
