8" is really thin for queen mattress. That 'might' be okay for one anorexic person.
A Queen hydrid shoud be a least 12", to allow for 8" of coils and 4" foam/padding, again unless the person is like 100 lbs and a back sleeper in which 10" would be okay.

Make sure you check the return policy before you order. When I ordered a mattress from Walmart they wouldn't take it back in the store. I had to figure out a way to box it up so UPS could ship it.
Agree. Got it back in July and even though it's miles above the cheap 8" bare bones foam mattress it replaced, I do think it's significantly firmer than I expected and my shoulder hurts after sleeping on my side.

but, do you know if any fiberglass or glass-like products are used in manufacture? their stores are near me, but who knows if they beat Walmart prices. Maybe they give Walmart a big discount

Firmer is actually better because it will soften over time but for side sleepers you will want to get a topper for the top layer.

I've only had mine for about a month but I love it so far. If anything, I feel like I'm oversleeping now, like a rock. No more tossing and turning.
Brooklyn Bedding really did make it to order. My order details tag were sewn into the mattress before it was compressed and boxed.
I originally ordered a 12" Hybrid off Amazon I believe it was made in China. It was not good. Barely inflated to the full 12" and only in some sections and just had a cheap build-quality all around. So I returned that, with much hassle and found the Brooklyn.
Also, here in California, Walmart will haul away the old bed too.

I wonder what the difference is between this and the one sold on their site though, other than the $1000 price tag. The layers seem exactly the same

I'm not positive. I went back and forth through all those "layer diagrams" for a couple weeks, trying to make sense of which type of foam is better and how much is too much etc .

I was mattress shopping and doing deep dives on Youtube and Reddit reviews. Kept hearing good coments about Brooklyn Bedding and then found this post from a Year Ago. https://slickdeals.net/f/17094613-brooklyn-bedding-standard-10-firm-hybrid-mattress-king-258-queen-218-more-free-s-h?v=1&src=&prop

Brooklyn Bedding also sells the Select under their own 3Z brand for $365 . https://www.walmart.com/ip/seort/5429176603
And would've gladly paid the extra $130 I thought it was better, but I really don't know that it is.
