I had been following prices on these hoping for an extra discount, got very disappointed when noticed they increased prices making the savings non existing after the coupon.
For reference, the animal 2 origin upright saved for later in my cart shows the $179.99 price, jumps to 209.99 when I open it now, the real discount is actually about 5%

I own the Animal Pro and I'm not sure how much better a vacuum can get.

Downside on all Dyson vacuums though- the build quality is horrible. You know those plastic eggs in vending machines at the grocery story that have toys in them for .50? That's the kind of plastic they used to build these things. Love the vacuum to death, but why is it built like that at this price point???

Will not recommend Dyson ever again. Had one that set itself on fire after a year. Sent in to warranty. One option is to drop off at a Dyson store or through UPS store. When UPS accepted them, they informed me they would get dozens a day. Got mine back "repaired" a week later. Died a few weeks after the warranty ended (motor burned out again) Only used for normal indoor vacuum use. Unit was a new purchase.

Yeah those are not great prices at all! I'm pretty sure that v11 is cheaper at Costco, or has been anyway

This. I have an Animal 2 and it's a cheap plastic POS. The handle literally twists and flexes as I vacuum because the entire thing is cheap plastic. I won't be getting another one.

The V12 is a decent price with all the accessories at $350. Been needing one, lowest price I've seen in a while.

I've been looking for a new vaccum but I need something with on board attachments that isn't going to crap out on me in a couple of years.

I thought maybe Dyson or Shark.

Obviously, since this is SD, the "cheaper" the better.
Was hoping to stay under 200 but no more than 275 - especially if it's got longevity.

Any recommendations?

Dyson seems like one of those brands that use to be good but suck now. Bought a hair dryer for my wife and it died a couple months after the 2 year warranty was up.

Purchased in the past and had nothing but problems. Had to make a claim to Dyson and they honored the refurbished limited warranty. Such a pain.

Are Dysons worth it or are they overhyped? Looking for a nice vacuum for my parents. Needs to have good suction and good battery life. Doesn't have to be upright. Stick is fine too, but obv don't want it to be too cumbersome to wield.

I bought some random brand from Amazon a few months ago and it was garbage. Poor suction, bad battery life, etc.

You're supposed to push or pull while turning.

What's the difference between the Animal Pro & Animal 2 Origin?

I have the original Dyson Ball I believe from 8 years but feel like it slowed down this year and not the same results when first few years owning it

I'm interested in the answer to this question too. We need a new vacuum.
