Can we ban guitar deals on this site? I'm trying to not end up homeless.

They are built overseas to Seymour Duncan specs, and Duncan keeps an eye on the quality as their name is on them. Quality wire, bobbins, potted, thick wiring, good magnets, same winds and wire thickness. The HB102 neck is equivalent to a Seymour Duncan Jazz 7.8k neck, the HB101 Bridge is equivalent to a Seymour Duncan '59 9.5k bridge humbucker. Both using Alnico 5 pickups. Some people claim they are different from true SDs and they can hear the difference, actual Duncan reps claim they are the exact same specs and sound near identical, possibly slightly greater variance in output.

I have never learned to play guitar but have restored many 1950 to 1990's guitars.

I have to say that guitar deal threads are my favorite.

that's good to know because a set of 'actual' seymour duncans go for around $200-$250

I've owned this.

My opinion, but at this price, get in on a Gretsch deal instead of this. The D'A Premier line doesn't quite have the build quality of the Gretsch, but they'll play similar.

D'A doesn't start getting good until you're in the Excel line, and they're usually close to $2000. They don't seem to have a middle-road guitar line anymore (they used to have a Deluxe line that was excellent but it's discontinued).

Thanks for saving me from even remotely thinking of buying another guitar. I got in on the last two G5xxx deals btw 🤣
