As this came out in 2019, I'm going to assume that it does NOT support 2 independent displays on Apple Silicon Macs that came out in 2020 (this would include M1, M2, M3, etc.). I'd think only one works or they mirror the image.

That said, as long a a Mac user recognizes this limitation, it's a nice price for a Thunderbolt dock. 2 USB-C ports so while it's using one, your getting 2 (ahead by one) and it's got two standard USB-A ports so that helps as your recent MacBooks don't have those. Plus ethernet and audio, so you don't need to hook those up.

It's only 60W so if you want it charging your laptop it's not a lot of juice but for most people it would be fine (for example, I use a dock that only has 85W charging and my MacBook Pro Max came with a 140 W charger and it's fine).

60W dont matter, any laptop will charge, just slower. By the time you done doing whatever you doing the laptop will likely be charged. Speed of charge dont matter when you doing real work at the desk. It will likely be more healthy for the battery

Better than USB and a good price. However, I strongly prefer a thunderbolt passthrough.

Me to, in most cases those docks are costly, around $150 or up. This dock also supports Laptops with Full function USB 3.2 gen 2 Type-C port, although the total bandwidth and the monitor support are restricted for those devices.

Thanks for your comments! Which other dock with a power supply for the MacBook Air 15 do you recommend? I don't need multiple displays, but I want a single hub to connect my MBA, audio interface, USB mic, etc., with just one cable.

I use the CalDigit TS3+ with Intel and M-series Macbook Pros. I have two monitors attached. Once in awhile, when it wakes from sleep my LG monitor won't wake up, but the Dell monitor always wakes up... I'm not sure if that's the dock or the monitor.

I bought the CalDigit TS3+ dock in 2018 and it supports two independent displays with my M1 macbook pro. There's no guarantee this one will though of course. Based on the reviews of this dock, I'd buy a used TS3+ on ebay instead.

It has two DisplayPort outputs; I assume they both work. But if you use two 4K60 video outputs, there's very, very little Thunderbolt bandwidth left for anything else.

Can someone confirm if they can charge and do video output from a M3 Macbook Pro via USB-C? And if so at what wattage?

Most laptops are going to clock down the CPU when running on a lower powered adapter. I'd be pretty annoyed with this.
No, its a 60w charger, what CPU will need anything close to 60w to run full blast? Even a crappy intel will try to limit to 30w pull. Your math dont compute.

Loads of laptops pull way more than 60w. If you have a discrete GPU, and a non-low-power CPU, plus drives and all the other components, you'll get there quickly when not running in a low power mode. And "try to limit to 30w" would mean slowing down the CPU exactly as the previous responder said.
