anyone played this? seen it on sale a few times and was wondering how it plays
This game is really fun, I enjoyed it so much I bought the DLCs. Looks like this includes the DLCs. The environment is so deep I wish they explored it more. It feels like a novel or could be a future sitcom.
Sadly, they really don't do a good job finishing all the loose ends in the game, but hope they bring out a control 2 and 3 etc. in the future.
Once you upgrade the main character she's like Neo from the matrix. Really cool stuff. Had to use Geforce Now because my computer doesn't support ray tracing.

I bought it for SteamDeck then realized it would not start without an internet connection (while I was on a cruise) .. I got pissed off and refunded and pirated instead, which doesn't require internet to start...
This is the only game that made me say WOW at ray-tracing... it is a room full of glass exhibition boxes and it look incredible with RT on . I will replay it at 4k when 5080 comes out

Surprised to hear this isn't universally loved haha. I loved it. I enjoyed it and wished it was longer, or that they were making another. In fact this reminds me there was one boss I never did beat...
Remedy games are always divisive since the content is so far from their other works; but if you are a max payne lover then the action is right up there with some telekinesis
Alan wake was a great game for the time and Alan wake 2 was a departure to the quirky show biz satire but i can appreciate the horror elements to it even though its not as well versed as silent hill 2 or resident evil series each remedy game is kind of them making a risk
This is an excellent game and very much worth it at this price. It's atmospheric, involving, the story is interesting and compelling, and the action and puzzle solving are both a ton of fun (and I'm someone who rolls my eyes at games that take their puzzles too seriously.)

You might want to look at the meaning of sitcom, this game was anything but a situational comedy.
I played the game through and agree with the others, wish they had expanded so much more. It felt like they rushed the ending a bit, or maybe I rushed it. I haven't made it to the DLCs yet, but the lore and environment were some of the most fun I've had gaming since covid. I enjoyed it like a shorter horizon zero Dawn.
If you have good hardware, the visuals are very pleasing and gameplay feels smooth and polished
