I have this in a magsafe nvme enclosure that I use on the back of my iPhone 16 Pro Max to record ProRes log 4k/120fps video with spatial audio. It works great.
Two bad I got it last week for $20 more. FYI, even before this price cut it was still cheaper to buy two 1TB of these and two nvme magsafe enclosures then getting the 2TB version. Now it's even more lopsided.
Then the 10Gb data plus PD power together goes into the phone (minus what the NVMe enclosure uses)

Battery Pack (5,000 may be better but I like a BBP)

The following is used for the enclosure to phone connection. I used the included cable with the enclosure for the battery connection.

Adapters

In the adapter picture the bottom left adapter goes in the nvme port, upper left into the phone and the cable is out of the way.
Just to repeat from earlier, it's cheaper to get two enclosures and 1 TB M.2 than it is to get 1 enclosure and 1 2 TB M.2.
4k ProRes log 120fps with spatial audio = 35 minutes of record time. 60fps much more about double and 24fps double the time again.

Do you know if the 2TB model of this drive would also work with an iPhone in an NVME enclosure?
Do you recommend a particular NVME enclosure for use with an iPhone?

I like the idea of a smaller drive vs a longer drive but if there is a difference in speed and heat then maybe id be best with a longer drive. i am looking for a decent sized drive with good/fast speeds to make changes on and transfer off my phone and other devices. any info would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance
These small drives have low endurance ratings as well 600tbw.

Edit: Thanks for pointing out there is a different of generations between the two. Why can't product names be more obvious in between differences.

The second link you shared does not end in R2, has QLC NAND in the product title and has been out for a year. It also has a different controller and is much slower.
