I was kinda riding with you until you dissed The Witcher 3. That game is a straight banger! One of the greatest of all time. Hands down. End of discussion. Periodt.

To each their own, but I think that's kind of the point behind GOTY: most gamers tend to agree that GOTY games are at least worth a playthrough. Even if they're not all your particular personal jam, there's probably something about them all that is unique, special, and/or would be appreciated by most gamers.

This is the true Game of the Year. Not Black Myth. I enjoy Black Myth, but it didn't fully live up to the hype, for me. And I was extremely hyped for it.

Yeah he was doing well until he fumbled and lost the touchdown. Lol. Shame.

Like A Dragon and Yakuza are always bangers.
Witcher 3 is a straight masterpiece.

FFVII Rebirth isn't the best game ever created. It's decent, but not even better than the first Remake. It suffers from inconsistent flows and forcing Queen's Gambit on you, which, I tried to enjoy and I can't, like most others. The game mechanics such, rules suck, and it's slow with having to watch your opponent slowly move their card.

Some people simply prefer a more narrative focused RPG. Witcher is great if you love side quests and small scale world building, but also, if you don't like or get Geralt, the game loses more points. With the FFs it is the same way. Love Cloud, love his games. If I liked Zidane more, IX would go from a game I think is good to a game I think is amazing.

Witcher is based on books, a cut scene filled linear game might be one hell of a ride if done right. really would love to see cdpr try it

I think ff15 burned a lot of people on square. Myself included. The hype with the Kingsglaive movie which I thought was really good, the fact it was open world….there was a lot of potential. Then the game was extremely mediocre. I miss the 7 through 10 days. Just 2 or 3 years between them and they were fantastic.

I was literally playing FF Crisis Core before Wukong, and I think Wukong ruined FF for me because it's on another level. Wukong is GOTY, and nothing else is even close.
I have the opposite experience, was expecting too much out of wukong but it turned out to be just a boss rush souls like game. On the other hand loved ff7 remake so much, bought the rebirth, still getting ready to play it.

I really enjoy rebirth. Sometimes the side questing and mini games are way too much but it has a lot to do and has a lot of epic moments. I'm planning to play it again on FF mode one of these days.
