How is Pioneer? Rtings doesn't have any reviews. I want an outdoor TV that is cheap and wasn't sure if to go with this or the Hisense 55" for $50 more.

Don't do it! I bought this TV and returned because the picture was so bad. I got a cheap TCL QLED and the difference was night and day

These get reviewed pretty well for budget edge lit led image quality, but buggy wifi and the xumo os.

Given you can get a known hisense or tcl for $40 more I don't think it's quite cheap enough if the streaming software matters to you. Maybe they'll be 150 come black friday.

I got one and the picture quality is way better than I expected. It's also direct lit, not edge lit.

I've used this TV daily for over a year and it's been solid. It's not OLED but it has a good picture on my setup. Mine has the FireTV OS, however.

We bought a Hisense from Costco and returned it right away. We only needed it as a rarely used basement TV to replace an ancient plasma, but its main function was going to be mirroring an iPad for dance instruction / practice. It was painfully glitchy and slow, so we returned it for a cheap LG that's worlds better. I'd heard good things about Hisense but it was too clunky and lagged way too bad for us and we aren't techy at all.

I got this off here while back for $150. Every so often couple times a week the volume goes out and I have to reset the tv to get it to come back on. Any ideas on a fix?
