Note that the previous thread on this has a massive amount of technical discussion about practically every aspect of this router and detailed setup instructions etc. If looking for answers, I'd start with a search in that thread (terms like OpenWRT, DD-WRT, stock, CA, mesh, USB, throughput, wired, backhaul, bricked, etc). That may be a good start for those new to it, as it probably already answers a lot of questions that are sure to crop up.

Also, here's a link to some of the basic support docs for it from the Linksys site …

This is for 2 of these? What if I currently have a main tp link router as my main, is it possible to make these 2 work together with my main tp link and make them as repeater/extender?

Right now I currently have 1 main tp link router, and one of this as bridge mode with the same network and password. However my eufy security camera is having issue because it says my homebase 3 is not on the same network (both are on my same ssid wifi but one is connected via tp link WiFi and another through Linksys)
If anyone can help that would be greatly appreciated!
Set Tplink as a wireless extender. Tplink is very easy to set as a extender, and the devices connecting to it share the same subnet with the main router. Tplink's stock firmware is very good.

is there any rule of thumb on coverage for the size of your house? I'm up to 5 now through woot and amazon laugh out loud
Put the router in the center of your house.

Some of my devices have trouble seeing each other as on the same network (ie my eufy security camera and homebase) when I set up Linksys as the same wifi SSID and password as my tp link main router before I put it in bridge mode. Any way that I can resolve it? Thank you
Pro tip: all your IP cams and IoT devices and smart home devices should be on an entirely different SSID, segregate them out from your main LAN. You don't want your iphones, laptops, desktops and whatever devices that you think is important to be "breathing the same air" as the IoT devices.

Yes, you can set it up in bridge/AP mode. There is info in the community wiki above and in the threads for the previous deals.

That's a total of 2. Is there a way to get 3?
According to Amazon you can have the following in your Amazon household.

Up to two adults (aged 18 and over), each with their own Amazon account.
Up to four teens (ages 13 through 17). Teens can have their own Amazon login to shop

So that's up to 7 orders theoretically or you know you could just order multiple on one account and pay $20 instead of $15.

I'm running the stock Linksys without any issues. Just make sure to follow the recommendations from the other thread. Huge improvement in performance vs my almost 10yr old mesh setup
I am also running the stock Linksys software. It works fine but it is severely limited in functionality. No port forwarding... wtf? I am going to have to install DDWRT or Tomato or something else on this.

Someone said OpenWRT bricked their router, and apparently this model is not supported by OpenWRT.

But other than the lame software, I am happy with the hardware performance so far. It definitely hits Wifi 6 speeds.
