Some of my favorite games have a relatively low complexity, like Cascadia or For Sale. That doesn't mean there's no strategy to these games or that it's a game for noobs. It just means there's not a ton of rules.

Picked it up to add to my 5yo's game choices. Looks like a nice enough game.
Some of my favorite games have a relatively low complexity, like Cascadia or For Sale. That doesn't mean there's no strategy to these games or that it's a game for noobs. It just means there's not a ton of rules.
Me too. It is just another form of media, and our tastes may exist on any spectrum. I truly enjoy games like Azul, Calico, or Cartographers, which have low complexity and simple mechanics but can contain some deeper strategy. They are also a lot less burdensome to teach, which is usually a key consideration for me (this also explains why my copies of Spirit Island and Gloomhaven are mint)
