This worked to get an "unsupported" Android phone to work with this deal!

For this to work, your phone must:
- Work on the Verizon 4G/5G network with other carriers
- Have a physical SIM card slot (will not work for eSIM)
- Be unlocked so you can port it to other carriers
- Fail Spectrum's IMEI check (not really required, but no reason to do this if it passes the IMEI check)

It worked for my Tracfone/Samsung Galaxy a54.

Instructions:
1) Go to https://www.imei.info/google-imei-generator/
2) Generate an IMEI for a Google Pixel 6 Pro.
3) Sign up for the deal using that IMEI. They will ship a physical sim card for free.
4) Activate your phone using that card.

It's as easy as that. It worked. If it doesn't work for you, just cancel. No loss.

Great deal for me - I'm on a grandfathered $25/month internet plan, so for $25/mo, I'm getting high speed internet AND phone service!

People on this thread that had this issue:
When I've called in to Spectrum for the retentions dept to try and get a better deal on my home internet, they offered to include this as part of the deal. Last summer I was paying $85 for home internet (after 10 years of it going up every year). I called them and told them I was going to switch to T-Mobile Home and they offered to give me the new user price ($55) and upgrade me to the higher tier plan, and also throw in 1 free year of Spectrum Mobile. I ended up giving it to my 12 year old. Then this summer, called again and they renewed my lower price and gave me another free year. Only catch was it had to be a new phone number and they couldn't port the old number. But the service is good in LA area.

Yeah, I can't find any details either. All I see is the banner, and it's ambiguous if you need to buy the iphone 16 for this, or if you can do it independently of that.

Thanks. The banner was under my Spectrum account as well.

I guess this promo is for the new iPhone launch, but I was able to BYOP an iPhone 11. ESIM activated.

Wondering if I can get this with my cheap grandfathered $25/mo internet. If so, id need a phone. Their IMEI checker says it can't use my TracFone Galaxy a54, which is odd, because it's running on another Verizon mvno...

They'll give me $164 for it, which I could apply to a $300 Galaxy a35 (basically the same phone I have now. Same os, processor, but newer with bigger screen)

My 3 months of mint mobile for $22.50 is running out soon. This will work nicely to replace the service for a second phone.
