Is this a good deal? I have no idea as technology prices change so quickly. And does it come with a detachable keyboard?

No keyboard, battery life nowhere near the new ARM versions.

Thanks boss. What's the cheapest ARM surface 11 you can get right now? Saw some posts about $899 but no link. Any ideas?

Whoever buying that trash arm windows will just be roasted as the last time and the time before last. Arm windows is trash. If you can live with arm windows you better get a macbook or linux as well. I paid $600 for the top configured samsung laptop with snapdragon elite and returned it. It's trash. Doesn't even support any online game with cheat detection or Google Drive or whatever else. Now the lunar lake is out - I would much prefer that than arm trash.

One point you are right - the 1235u is a dog, too. Old ans inefficient design. Good for a desktop or something you don't care bettary but bad for a tablet. Trash GPU as well. $650? Doesn't worth it.
A 8840u or core ultra series for the same price sounds much more reasonable. Deals like that pop out quite frequently.

I've been running a Surface Pro X w/16GB RAM (ARM64) for the past two years, and it's been great. It has the best battery life I've ever seen on a Microsoft Surface, and I've had most of them. Windows on ARM has come a long way, and you saying that it isn't good for gaming, you are missing the point. Most tablets and laptops aren't good for gaming, so what? Anyone that wants a gaming machine, buys a desktop with a dedicated GPU.

Refurb should be in the title. Why can't people get that? It's a critical piece of info for us SDer. I wouldn't have clicked on this if I knew it was refub at this price.

The battery life is 3.5 hours. I've had three surface Pros so far. They all have 3.5 hours of battery life, in spite of Microsoft's ludicrous claims of 11-15 hours.

Yes, the ARM version will do 10+ hours. I still wouldn't buy one. I'll wait for the Lunar Lake x86 version. Should be out before early next year. That will also do 6-8 hours hopefully.

If an architecture only works 99% of the time, it's basically not usable for any serious application.
