Isn't the Tp-link C120 a better deal since it works indoor outdoor for $25, not like this one indoor only?

That depends on personal preference. The C120, as you said, is indoor/outdoor and has usb-c, 20 FPS, and spotlights. The C125 differences are indoor only, no spotlights, has a wider FOV, WiFi 6, automatic physical privacy shutter, HDR, 30 FPS, and is native Apple HomeKit compatible. So for indoor use, this is a better deal for my use case as I use Apple and want HDR, the FOV, and privacy shutter.

Holy shit, this is SMOKING HOT!

I can't believe this isn't FP. This is the homekit model folks and the best homekit camera out there. $30 is unbelievable.

I bought 5 of these at $50, 5 at $40 and now 2 at $30

Thx OP!!!

As Fairmomment mentioned it *really* depends on your usage. there's a reddit thread that lightly goes into the differences from people who have purchased both as well as spec comparisons: https://www.reddit.com/r/Tapo/com...0_vs_c125/

Really though, the big difference between the two in terms of image is going to be in very low light usage as the 120 has a starlight sensor and the 125 doesn't if you have some amount of light indoors at all times then this indoor cam is a much better idea with the wider FOV, 5ghz wifi, and potentially better AI usage but if you want the absolute best low/no light coverage it's going to be the 120 with the starlight sensor. I have a few 120s (and a 520 hardwired into the ethernet) outside (plus 120 inside) and haven't had any issues with the FOV so there isn't really a bad choice. If you're sure you're only going to use the camera inside (or protected from the elements outside) and want 2 cameras, this 125 will make you happy (if you're team apple then this is also the best choice.)

Don't forget to grab an sd card (for those doing 24/7 TP-link has a list of capacities, this is a 4MP camera: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/3048/ )

Yes to all this, plus it also allows for AI detection when integrating with NVRs or Blue Iris. The C120 only sends motion alerts, but the C125 sends person, pet, etc. I've also seen where the C120s crash every 10 days or so when using them with 3rd party devices but the C125s have been rock solid.
