Should have been in "Deal Talk - Mod can you move? Sorry!

We all know that Kohls plays the pricing game with coupons, Kohls Cash, etc.

But what I've started to see is Kohls changing the "Regular Price" or "List Price" of items based on the sale.

Purchased a few items over the weekend (used 40% coupon and got prices that felt good) and then looked a few of them up today and found the "Regular Price" had changed. Not the sale price, not the coupon price, but the price that basically determines how all the discounts are established (the "regular price").

I've pretty much had it with that store, was a loyal shopper for year but now with all the exclusions and these pricing games, this is the last straw. This Thanksgiving/Christmas holiday season is going to be a cluster in trying to determine if ANYTHING is a Slickdeal or not.

You're not the only one. I don't care how good the deal is…I am done with Kohls. I just don't like how many exclusions they have on their discount codes.

I have to agree with you. Kohls used to be a store I had no problem shopping at but now it seems with all the exclusions on like 90% of the store merchandise, their coupons are worthless. Also with all the new merchandise they are adding to the store, those will also be excluded. I do not miss shopping there.

I think that is illegal. Sounds like we should all watch for that little postcard in the mail to say we may be entitled to something in a lawsuit settlement. Stick Out Tongue

Don't all retailers do this? Maybe some more subtle than others but seems like they all do this especially Amazon.

The only data trustworthy for determining a regular, and thus a good sale price from any retailer is to do your due diligence and compare for yourself. The internet has the real information if you look around a little.

Amazon, eBay, Google Shopping, SlickDeals are some very good places to compare deal pricing. You learn fast to ignore (or take it with a grain of salt) what they say is regular pricing.

P.S. I also check Temu now on many items. They are the real masters of spamming you with offers and deals that may or may not be worth your time once you get involved with them. So be prepared for that rabbit hole. I advised Mom against it. She has very little tolerance for being spammed, or waiting weeks for a shipment.
