This tool is one of the kinds that most people probably won't use but when it's handy, it's incredibly handy. In the body shop world they're great for getting in tight areas and grinding out spot welds.

Air powered is significantly more powerful but the mobility of this battery powered one is very useful when air isn't available

Not hackable, but you can sell the batteries for $100-$110 making the tool $89. No value in the charger around me. I think this tool is a $60-$70 tool during the hackable sales.

Wish they would finish unloading the HP batteries and get on with Edge sales already.

Is this worth it for just the batteries? I have a USB C dremel that can be used for more than just sanding so really wouldn't use the tool in this package.

I bought this 2 years ago(tool only) for $50. I use it at least a few times a month for metal work. It also works awesome on my rough a$$ feet. Makes them silky smooth. Just wear a mask otherwise you'll be breathing in toe cheese.

I love these detailer file sanders and use them frequently for forging / metalwork projects. I'd like a battery powered one for events, but they are too proud of the danged things. You can get a much higher torque wired or pneumatic one for under $40.
