I have this headset, it's decently comfortable but compared to the Arctis 7+ I believe this to be inferior. The mic has to be touching your mouth to pickup sound. It also feels very cheap with its all plastic build.

Steelseries "upgraded" me when my arctis 7+ broke, and I am disappointed

I watched an unboxing video. It appears to be the standard SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7P or 7X plus the destiny themed band and labels, if you prefer to go without the Destiny look.

Ordered and received from Woot a couple weeks ago, can confirm this specifically. This is a great deal.

FWIW, The Destiny 2 items that come with it can be sold separately for around 40-50 bucks bringing the net cost down for this.

I agree. I got the Nova 7 thinking it was an upgrade from my older 7's and have been seriously disappointed.

The one nice new feature is simultaneous device connectivity. Great for working from home.

The software for the Nova's is beyond horrible, though…

The device drivers crash regularly (Win11) so I lose sound and have to restart the Steelseries software.

Possibly related, but there are times when it loses track of the device you've set for audio.

Not fun when sound unexpectedly blasts out of your speakers, disturbing everyone around you. Better hope what you're listening to isn't embarrassing.

Never had any of these problems with the Arctis 7's (non-Nova).

I had a Steel Series Arctics 7, and the sound quality was great, but the "leather-like" material used on the cushions disintegrated after a couple years. Even though the outside material is cloth, the "leather-like" material is used as the means of connecting the cushions to the cans, they completely fell off with no means of re-attaching without purchasing new cushions. The Nova series appear to have the same cushion-construction method.

I have owned and used this headset for about a year now and I honestly would not recommend them. Each day I put the headset on its "max volume" is different, one day the audio is quiet and I turn up in game and chat volume, then the next day it is blaring loud so I turn it down, next day it is quiet again, etc.

The quality of the headset itself feels nice enough but the software/actual functioning of the headset could use some work.

I have this headset and will echo some of the software/driver issues I had in Win11.
Come to find out that if I had Fast Boot enabled, every restart would cause the GG software to no longer recognize the dongle require me to manually unplug the dongle and reconnect to "restart" the driver. After I disabled fast boot, I went ahead and removed the drivers and GG from Windows, restarted and re-installed everything and has been working flawlessly ever since

Mine broke in less than a month.

Edit: There is a reset button under the right ear cup.
