This phone was released in June 2024. You must have had some other phone model.

There are mutiple edge 2024 deals ongoing:

Straight talk: No port in, around $130 ( with 3 months service), unlocked after 60 days
This (Total): Port in and ID verification, around $65 (with 1 month service) + tax + fee (total around $85 for CA), unlocked after 60 days.
Metro: No port in, exactly $75 (with one month service), unlocked after 365 days

just last week, i got one from Metro for $75 after porting in the Google voice number and this one seems to have a much better waiting period for unlock compared to metro 365 days wait time. I did chat with metro to see if i can return and get a refund , but metro said only device payment are refundable and not plan charges..

when it comes to the device , its pretty snappy and like other comments here, its very narrow and surprisingly light weight.. for the value that this phone offers, i would definitely agree that it is a $200 to $250 range phone ..

This deal might be worth it if I can get 2 phones for $120 or so. Has anyone purchased 2 in 1 order?
Doesn't work

it does.. however, you need to wait for 60 days unlock to make use of both physical sim and esim for use with any other carriers.

I've been using this for about 3 months, as a secondary device. Battery life is worse than Stylus and Power models. My 2020 Power could do 15hrs screentime, whereas my Edge24 is about 8-9. So I checked and the drain rate is very high on the edge, due to aggressive CPU boosting. The 7s SOC might use Samsung's fab? Phone runs warmer than 2023+ and 2020 Edge 5G.

Anyway, speed wise it's not laggy. Feels like an upper mid ranger. Much smoother than my LG G8, which uses the 855. GPU isn't great but I don't play mobile games anyway. The few systems I emulate are ancient.

Memory usage is good thanks to 8GB. I don't have any issues with multitasking.

You get Moto gestures, back tap gesture, edge lighting and Ready For. I didn't root it and don't see any reason to. No one has released any ROMs. As for camera I use Gcam with Fusion 50 config for pics. I'm content with the camera tbh. Much better than 2020-22 Edge models ...

Just FYI, this phone could support "ready for" via USB c, that means you can connect this phone to a monitor via USBC and basically you can use it as a mini PC to browse internet.
Not "could". It has Ready For. Not a feature I use personally.

Why? Is it due to the curved edge?

I have had this phone for about a month. Its a good phone. Certainly not worth 249.00.
But if you get it for the 65-70, yes, good deal.
It is "Quite Narrow". Only 72mm in width. Not sure if I like it at this point. May give it to my 14 year old. Even though its 6.6" screen, the width makes it seem like a much smaller phone.
Hopefully Black Friday and holidays will have good deals on higher end phones
Any idea if this one supports eSIM? wanna get one with esim feature

It does have eSim. I am 100% sure because the phone that i got from metro didnt have a physical sim and it was activated via eSim, so there that is.

Sometimes Motorola disable eSIM feature for carriers. For example, boost moto g stylus 2023 doesn't support eSIM while metro verison supports. For this one, I am not 100% sure but I hope it supports eSIM

ah.. i see your point.. that would be complete shame on total wireless part to disable the esim feature even beyond the 60 days mark where the device is unlocked and i would be suprised as well. Hope they ship the device with esim similar to what metro did in my case.
