why does their site list the msrp of this phone at $260? Isn't it like $450 retail?

Possibly never considering current status on shipping

Verification is just a text code to see if number is eligible. You setup the port number on activation page after get the device.
Do you mean I don't need to provide the real port number when I order the phone and I only need the real port number when I activate the phone? If so, how long do they allow me to activate the phone after I get it?

As a person whose RAZR 2024 order has been in approved status for close to a month even after calling like 5-6 times speaking with 5-6 managers and submitting 2 tickets to the refund department, I'll just say good luck to you all. The issue is not the front line phone rep or managers. They all have been sympathetic and trying to help. But their hands are all tied. Total Wireless gave very little power to these people. The only way for the managers to do anything is to submit a ticket. The problem is the department that receives the ticket tends not to answer the ticket. Then everything is stalled. There is no way for any phone rep to try to contact any department to push further.
If your issue doesn't get resolved in 2 weeks, just send me a DM. I'll give you the corporate number. I don't want to post it here in public as I don't want this number to get blocked as people try to use this number too early.

What's the reasoning on their end for just not sending out hardware they're taking a loss on that'll turn into subscription revenue as soon as they get it into customers hands?

I've just never had an experience like this when online shopping except if the item is clearly backordered etc

Maybe it's like the Cybertruck pre-orders. We gave them a nice chunk of change in money they can just sit on indefinitely, while shipping out the product means a loss that may not be recouped if even a small minority of people immediately cancel service

I would be careful. None of us actually got the phone yet, although it's not to say we never will. It's been 6 days for me now and no update. Can't even figure out how to get a refund. Customer service doesn't answer me

You're wrong about it having locked bootloader's. It's all dependent on the carrier, not the phone. I purchased a Moto G Stylus 5G 2023 from Metro by T-Mobile earlier this year (slickdeal frontpage) and I unlocked the bootloader successfully the first day it arrived and rooted it. I did have to wait 6 months for it to SIM unlock, but it did. Likewise, I purchased a Moto G Power 2024 from Straight Talk a few months ago (slickdeals front page) and you can't unlock the bootloader (nor root it). There was also a big SIM unlocking fiasco after 2 months where no one got unlocked until mass FCC complaints arose.
I got in on the most recent ST Moto G Power 2024 deal, and have the same idea about unlocking the bootloader for root. Can you confirm if this is possible after waiting for the official 60-day period?

If you are trying to do it from an existing account, create a new one with another email and redo the verification steps.
So that you know, the discount will only be applied if your phone number is shown in the cart under the new line. Also, the verification will no longer work in your old account/email.

You can NOT unlock bootloader for ST ,TW or TF nor any Verizon Moto variants, this is cut and dried without solution, period.. its locked forever.

I'm at the end of the rope ,... I Will Wait till Monday as CS told..it should ship by then though I'm highly doubt.... TW probably is the most sneaky mvno company i ever encountered... What I can't put up with was that they hold customer s id information as hostage and continue luring ppl to place order...it changed from OOS back to in stock again but fail to ship none of the orders...

I ported 9 lines in. Got 1 phone. But it was such a nightmare with the process and errors etc. I left and went to Verizon paying $100 more per month. They got stuff done properly. Never in my life again will I go to total.
