Yes Google voice worked for verification without unlocking it once get device pay $3 to unlock GV for porting or try activate with new number YMMV or port different number on activate page.

These Automatically unlock with only 1 month service after Activation on 60th day can confirmed unlock date by texting UNLOCK to 611611

hdmi via usb-c vs "cast" ? I had thought I'd read about this feature earlier but maybe I misunderstood people talking about miracast.

I currently bring a laptop, cable, etc when traveling to have streaming content available in pretty much all hotel rooms regardless of tv. Anyone know if, with the correct usb hub, this could replace that setup or does it require a "casting" capable smart tv?

You just need a regular usb c to hdmi cable

My 2nd phone has been shipped out but they haven't added the phone IMEI number to my account like was the case with my first order. Probably they want to avoid people activating with new numbers if they do it as soon as they receive shipping notification. I'm mainly interested in activating it now so that the unlock timer starts counting down.

Wait until you get the. We noticed you are trying to add a new device and or phone number to your account blah blah email and then on you account and activate .

I got the same idea. But I was thinking to maybe get sth under $10 for temporary protection. Ali/temu will take like 3-5 weeks to be delivered

I received the phone!
When do we need to activate the SIM card by? Can I wait until January to activate it?
When does the 30 days begin for it to become unlocked? From the date the service is started or the date we receive the phone?
I transferred a Google Voice number in and I read here that it can take 2 - 3 weeks. So that means I need to wait at least 2 - 3 weeks for it to transfer in before I could begin service anyways?
I'm new to these port-in deals.. this is my first one.. so not clear I understand how it works

FYI, I ordered the case from temu after I ordered the phone and actually the case arrived before the phone...
