Ok, since Total chat support is worthless, I'm hoping someone here can help. I'm a 17 year T-Mobile post paid sub and signed up for the free Galaxy A35 deal on the $65 plan. I'd like to go to another prepaid service with the Galaxy. What's the best way to go about this?!?

I'm trying to buy 2. However, the 2nd phone is $249, with half price of plan. How can I get the 2nd phone free with half price of plan?

Interesting deal.. trying to determine if worth the effort. a couple questions for you veterans.

1)if i port my google voice number out, can i eventually port it back in to gv? I'd rather not use my main gv number but don't see an easy way to get another temp gv number.

2) if i already have a post paid verizon sim, can i pop that into this new phone and put the total wireless sim in my old phone?

Quick search on Google:

To port a number to Google Voice, you can:

Open Google Voice on your computer

Click Settings in the top right corner

Go to the Account section

Under Port a number to Google Voice, click Port a number

Click Get Started

Enter the phone number you want to port

You'll receive a text message with a 6-digit code

If you're porting a business number, you'll need to:

Gather information from your current service provider, such as a billing statement, list of phone numbers, and PIN

Log in to the Admin Console

Go to Apps > Google Workspace > Google Voice

Click Number porting

Click Create port order

Fill in the request form using a recent billing statement

Check the I authorize Google Voice box

Click Continue and enter the number you want to port

In the Activation date field, choose when to activate the number

Click Continue and Create Port Request

You might need to submit a letter of authorization (LOA)

You can check the status of your porting request by:

Logging in to Google Voice

Going to Settings

Clicking Track your progress under the Account section

Selecting Cancel my porting request

I made the mistake of canceling my original phone deal and switching to a different one. In the end, I had to create a new account with a new email to qualify for the free phone deal again.

Just received the phone and finished the activation (port in GV). Can make calls, send messages, and surf the internet. But text UNLOCK twice to 611611, get "Sorry, there was a problem processing your request, please call 611." Anybody knows what is going wrong?

According to these specifications [gsmarena.com], it does have eSim
But Total can't/won't activate via e-SIM.

No headphone jack, no microsd kills this deal for me. I doubt it's drastically better than my Moto G 5G anyway (2022) just newer version of Android
Lol. Much better than the G5G.

Presently using the G5G 2024. It's pretty slow. Barely adequate. Only using because it was better than free with trade at Visible.

Also have the Stylus 5G 2024. Feels like a much better phone.

The Edge should be better than both.

Activate on Total when it arrives to start the clock on the unlock. From there it depends on which prepaid company you want to use. If its another Verizon MVNO like TracFone, straight talk, etc...those should still work while the phone is still locked. I've already tried a family member's TracFone sim in mine myself so I know at least TracFone works. If another carrier, then you'll have to wait the 60 days for unlock.

What you do in the mean time depends on what you did with your number. If you ported your T-Mobile number you want to keep, you'll have to either continue paying total until unlock or port back out before that initial month is up but you won't be able to use this phone before that 60 days is up if it's not to another Verizon company.

Wait for few hours or max 24 hours. It will reflect activation date + 60 days for Auto Unlock.
