I got email that my phones were shipped.. around 7.35pm ( all EST times) , literally i follwed steps... it worked for me
I saw someone posted... time is crucial... someone said we should act fast... dont know really the time gap though...
How long ago you got shipment notifaction and after that any time gap ?

Day 1: Order with GV number or any number which is not Tracfone related. This is just for getting message.
Day 2/3/4: Whichever day the phone ships, immediately (dont delay beyond few hrs) login to your account and go to Manage Lines page. Select the IMEI from the dropdown. Go to activate page and select Activate now under "New phone Purchased through Total Wireless.". Click I want a new number radio button and enter your zip. Input the copied IMEI in the next page and follow the next prompts for activation. Once the activation is successful, the Manage Lines page will display the phone number instead of IMEI.
Day 3/4/5: Whenever you receive the phone, just pop in the sim card in the phone and text UNLOCK to 611611. You should receive confirmation message with unlock date 60 days from the day you activated the phone online. Enjoy your new phone.

Even you never text to 611611, you still will get it unlocked after 60 days
I followed all the instructions and everything went smooth.
I didnt want to use my main gv number so I put in some extra work to get a new burner GV number and ported that instead.
Received the phone earlier this week. Never turned it on. Went through the activation process online and provided the port info. Received a call from Total Wireless to let me know everything was OK and the port would take approximately 2 days.
Yesterday, received an email that port was complete. This morning popped in the SIM and powered on phone for first time. Everything worked great.
Now sent the UNLOCK text to 611611 (had to send it twice) and it says my phone will be eligible to be unlocked o 02-03-25. So we will see if its automatic or If I have to do anything then.
Some work involved, but at the end of day this is killer deal for a 2024 midrange phone.
Now I'll probably just put the phone away and wait those 60 days which seems like an eternity. I'm sure by then i'll be tempted with the s25 lineup or a deal for an unlocked phone will pop up sooner.
I have done 2 successfully, so maybe that's the limit, even though the site says 4.
If anyone gets this to work, please post steps taken.

Unfortunately already paid the $3 GV port out fee, whoops. Guess I'll save that for a future port deal.
I know that Metro devices are 365 days unlock, total are 60days.
Maybe he/she referred to use credit card reward to purchase from Amazon...
Get an iPhone in Metro for 99+tax(7-x%)+65 - number port-in is required. Get GV number - $3 to unlock
If you have Costco membership & existing T-Mobile account, get a Pixel 9 by trading in the iPhone and pay only the taxes - in FL tax will be 56.
Also get $75 Costco gift card for upgrading the line. New Pixel 9 price will be approximately 150+.
