mine was shipped 2 days back, but there is no line or device visible under my account...

if I have to activate the device with new number, will it be possible to change the number after device activation?

...as I want to port my current number genuinely (no virtual number hack).

no, do not port your real number.
they are the worst, they will mess everything up, and make you lose your number.
just use google voice for the port

It's probably been answered but help me out. I activated the phone on the website. The phone's still sealed in box. Do I need to insert the SIM and turn it on in order for it to unlock in 60 days? Also, can I port my number out before 30 days and the phone still unlocks in 60 days automatically? Thanks.

You need to turn it on and make a test call and text. That is what I did in order to show activity on my account then to the drawer it goes.

my account turned off a month after my initial payment of $82 ($65 plan plus tax on the phone), but the website still says $65 due. is this just due if i want to turn the service back on? not a past due amount that could go to collections?

Just wanted to say thanks to all in this thread for the help.
I followed all the instructions and everything went smooth.

I didnt want to use my main gv number so I put in some extra work to get a new burner GV number and ported that instead.

Received the phone earlier this week. Never turned it on. Went through the activation process online and provided the port info. Received a call from Total Wireless to let me know everything was OK and the port would take approximately 2 days.

Yesterday, received an email that port was complete. This morning popped in the SIM and powered on phone for first time. Everything worked great.

Now sent the UNLOCK text to 611611 (had to send it twice) and it says my phone will be eligible to be unlocked o 02-03-25. So we will see if its automatic or If I have to do anything then.

Some work involved, but at the end of day this is killer deal for a 2024 midrange phone.

Now I'll probably just put the phone away and wait those 60 days which seems like an eternity. I'm sure by then i'll be tempted with the s25 lineup or a deal for an unlocked phone will pop up sooner.
What zip code did you use for your Google voice account? They are saying 94043 is invalid and Google has denied the port which is what all online documentation says to use.

Don't recall putting in a zip code.. I remember just seeing some nearby cities and available area codes/numbers when selecting my gv number. (Florida had various options to pick from)

I was referring to, when I submitted the port to total wireless, they asked for the zip code from the Google voice account. Were you able to leave that blank?

My first Edge should unlock tomorrow or the next day. I plan on testing a at&t and T-Mobile SIM in it. If it is anything like my Moto g stylus 2024 from total, it should work perfectly fine.
