Good price on my favorite M12 light. You need to add the cheapest kit available ($169 Drill Driver kit) to get this price. Any kit more expensive will result in a more expensive light.

Note: I believe the only way you can cancel online is by having both available for immediate pick up (not ship to store). You can still return it easily.

This is my favorite battery light. I have a lot of expensive lights that I don't reach for anymore because this one is just so good. Good form factor, good battery life, and if it runs out, no need to charge it or anything, just slap on a new battery. Good candidate for 3rd party batteries if you want to keep your OEM ones ready for other tools.

If the drill/driver kit isn't available for in store pickup you can get the light for $54.81 with the hammer drill kit.

This is my #1 M12 tool that I use. It is so useful for illuminating engine bays with its magnets on the back or on the ground, shining up. I may get another it is that good.

No pickup available for the driver/driver kit. Possible to do pickup at storeA for the light, and then do "ship to store" to storeB for the kit? (and don't pick it up so it gets cancelled after a few days). I've always wondered if this ever worked.

Yes, this is exactly what I did in terms of picking up at store A and shipping to store B. But it might be worth it to do the hammer drill kit ($179) and pay an extra $1 so you can easily cancel online. I like trying to cancel or pick up and return as much as possible so that the item isn't sitting there for a while, plus I'm you get your money back faster.

Sometimes the online cancel option doesn't appear. I believe that is if one of your items is shipped (including ship to store), as I've been able to cancel immediately whenever I've done local pick up for both.

Thanks, good to know. It worked - cancelled the drill/driver kit upon placing the order. Now waiting for the pickup txt for the light.

This is a great light, but I still feel the price is expensive. I will note that I have had trouble returning items lately to home depot. Mainly the batteries, their systems just fails to complete the return.

If you order for local pickup can you walk in and request just to pick up the battery and leave the other item to be auto returned and get a refund?

This is also my favorite light. It's small lightweight and I can run this all day off of a 4.0ah battery.

Nice light, but I'm not a fan of convoluted "sneaky" deals (ordering something with no intent of keeping it).
I have quite a few M12 tools, including the handheld flashlight with a rotating head. Nice tools, but I prefer "clean" deals....buying just what you want, and no hanky-panky with returns, refunds, etc. YMMV
And this is Slickdeals... Where it can get a little slippery. People have gone to greater lengths to save less on here...

The reason they allow this is it gets you into their store. If they were losing money they would have stopped it a long time ago. Nothing sneaky about it.

Retailers spend millions on marketing to do get you in their store. They hold free kids workshops and free store pickup also for this reason.

I wouldn't say it's my #1, but definitely among my more useful M12 tools. Good 'inspection' light for vehicles (both service work & detailing), home repairs, etc. - and comes in handy for that odd late night work outside. The flood light they put out is a nice even/neutral white, and the output is smooth/consistent due to the area of the LED array on it.

Among all my other lights, the only one that is comparable in terms of this 'inspection'-quality even lighting is the flood LED on my Fenix HM60R headlamp. I'd buy replacements for either one if they got destroyed.

When I did store pickup in the past, they put them in the locker. I just took them out and walked to the return/customer service and returned the one item I didn't need. Very easy.
