CableMatters has a different USB C 240W cable listing (according to pictures markings are different at the cable ends) they list as USB-IF Certified. Makes me wonder if they're clearing out non-certified cables here.
The listings, including feature call outs in the graphics, seem quite different, including safety features. I would rather buy the certified cable personally. It's not like you're plugging these into cheap devices, but more likely laptops.
Maybe, someday, something will support PD 3.1 EPR 240W mode. A lot of gadgets pass through my hands and I've yet to find anything that will take more than 100W over USB-C.
I think only laptops draw that much power. HP ZBooks have been capable of 140+W over USB-PD since 2022 at the least. My Core 12th Gen ZBook 15 Power G9 does that.

Same. Good looking out, OP. This is the lowest price I've seen for 240W USB-C cables. Wish the data rate was higher, but at $3.49 each I'm not complaining. Copped instantly, no such thing as too many USB-C cables nowadays.

Yup, especially from well known brand, Cable Matters!

Is that using an HP USB-C 140W charger or any generic USB-C charger and any generic 140W cable? Have you used a charging cable with LED display to verify it's pulling 140W?
Dell, for instance, also has 130W USB-C chargers, but they are proprietary and no generic charger will feed 130W to a Dell.
Was looking to replace the short USB-C cable that came with the iPad Pro. Have a few HDMI 2.1 from Cable Matters since PS5/XSX release with no problems.

Yes, that's the one I got a few weeks ago. Didn't realize these are not certified. Thanks for the heads up!

I think at that power level it's going to be a Thunderbolt 4 cable (but not all of them are rated over 100W)

I have a similar Zbook G7 Studio. on USB PD, it will try to negotiate 90+ Watts. It will not charge on a 65W standard. I've seen it pull 88W with my mobile charger, but it usually bounces around 40-60W. I haven't tried to get it fully loaded on that charger, though.

90-something watts is not a problem, it's anything over 100W is still a unicorn for me (except for a MacBook Pro using the OEM USB-C-to-MagSafe cable and a generic 140W charger which would pull >100W).
