Can someone explain how to "hack" this deal? I don't really need the batteries

When I did in store pick up I buddy returned the batteries as soon as I got the tool. Some people are able to cancel the batteries online after it is processed

In order to do this the batteries have to be a separate line item on the receipt. In this deal it looks like it's a combo item which can't be separated

I just have to say that I love this little thing. If you ever have to do any repair of upholstery or any major stapling, your hand will thank you. I have several manual staplers (mostly for cables), and when I can use this M12, it's just amazing how much faster and easier it is.

I tried returning just the batteries and they said I had to return everything. What's the policy?

As someone else said this is not a hackable deal. The batteries have to be on a separate line. I have seen some stores refusing the return on batteries as well.

Correct needs to be separate items. There's another offer if you buy the batteries you get the tool discounted. You should be able to return those batteries as they are a separate item: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwa.../328984390

This does not appear to be a "hackable" deal.

Hackable deals will appear in your cart as two separate items, each with a proportional price listed.

Example here: https://slickdeals.net/f/17737356-hackable-m12-12v-lithium-ion-xc-high-output-5-0-ah-battery-pack-2-pack-starter-kit-with-charger-199?attrsrc=Thread%3AExpired%3AFalse&src=SiteSearchV2Algo1

You take one of the most expensive "free" items, in this case a $200 ratchet/water pump, and return it. Since it's valued at 50% of the total value ($200 Battery + $200 tool) you get a refund of 50% of the price you paid, or $100 in this case.

This deal shows up as a single SKU in your cart, so it is not returnable separately.

This is being sold as a Combo ONE Price Deal and not individually priced on your receipt.

No, it cannot.

It's a GREAT tool. Probably my favorite out of all the M12 I have.

I have this tool also and I don't love it. I also have a cheap air stapler from harbor freight and the performance and power is far superior. Obviously the stand alone electric has its portability advantages.

Same. I love mine too. Almost never jams and is plenty fast. I've used it mostly in the garden to attach welded wire to wood for trellising and lining my raised beds with plastic. Its only real downside is it encourages me to use way too many staples that I pull by hand at the end of the season.

Doing just 1 room with old insulation would make this tool worth it. After owning it, I wish I'd had it decades ago for insulation. Any carpet work that uses T50 staples is the same, a huge time and hand saver.

What application do you not like it in. Curious on the usecase limitations. For me is been great (thin shelf backing, vapor barrier, upholstery).

Is it the lowest it can go? Just need the stapler
