We've been using this many many times since 2018. It changes your single head shower outlet into a double head model. You could turn one mode off and use the other mode exclusively. The drawdown is that the knob to do that change gradually wear out to a point of too stiff. We just remove it and put on a new one. Good product overall. Oh, the two pieces are not magnetically attached to each other but rather with a dent to hold it in place.

Anything under $50 is usually 99.99% plastic, just checked, yep this is plastic.

Those cheap plastic collar attachments crack quickly & then start leaking

I ended up going through numerous shower heads and returned all of them when it came time to replacing my 20 year old one. Returned everything mainly because of aweful water output, even after removing restrictor. After checking reddit, I tried a recommended Hammerhead all metal showerhead. Greatest one ever. Actually sprayed water, not crappy fine steams mixed with air. Best $90 I ever spent.
Thanks for this. I'm now reading about it. I'll get one.

I'm thinking about getting another as a spare.. Incase they stop selling these. It really works like older shower heads use to before all the water restrictions

Thanks for the tip, but looks like very limited settings.

All metal sounds good, in theory (although I assume it's heavier), but personally I've had no issues with the plastic ones. We're careful with things, though.

Bought this exact unit a few years ago. Very nice output with restrictor removed. Hose is long enough. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase again. Paid about the same.

Can't really beat their limited lifetime warranty though, right? If it breaks, call them. I've had a good experience with the Delta warranty in the past. A cartridge that was part of a shower set wasn't working right -- they sent me a new one no questions asked.

In fairness even Grohe or Speakman use plastic for the wand style attachments and that's important, if you hit a fiberglass or tile shower with a metal one it would crack it. Not to mention the weight could cause injury if you drop it on yourself.

Plastics if done right are fine.

That said, delta is not a good brand for this, stick with Speakman (great quality for price) or grohe if you want higher end.

Personally I like a dedicated metal Speakman shower head and a dedicated wand.

I bought Moen 26112 for $51 almost three years back. Plastic and metal with magnetic attachment. Mighty happy with the performance and water pressure. Highly recommended. Price is higher now. Blane it on inflation.

I prefer the Moen Verso Dual Showerhead myself. It's an excellent showerhead with both an invigorate (strong) and relax (mist) setting, and can be adjusted with the Infiniti Dial. Despite being plastic, the Moen Verso seems to be well-built and has a metal connection to the shower arm.

my mom had this shower head and loved it. eventually, the rest of our family bought these for our showers/baths as well--and we've tried a wide variety of costco/home depot offerings. the limiter is easy to remove if you need to. and if you have kids, the handheld is essential. i've had the handheld fall out of the mount once, so now i'm careful to make sure it really is inserted firmly. it's not as "quick" secure as some of the rare earth magnetic versions at costco, but this showerhead pariing feels/works best for our family. $30 is a great price. we've paid as much as $65 on sale at homedepot back in 2020 and 2021.

I just bought and returned a hammerhead. It was the worst showerhead I have ever used in my life. It had absolutely terrible low pressure and the showerhead is tiny. My daughter and I felt gross because we felt like it didn't clean us off. It took twice as long to take a shower also because of the poor performance. To each their own, but buyer beware.

Weird becuase that sounds like the last 5 big box shower heads I bought and returned from the big box stores. Everything from $75 to $250. Granted I take the restrictors off immediately. But the Hammerhead delivered full water pressure. Wonder if you had a defective one.

My hammerhead had good pressure but started to leak in just a few years. For the price, might as well get extra Delta as a backup, YMMV.
