We've been using this many many times since 2018. It changes your single head shower outlet into a double head model. You could turn one mode off and use the other mode exclusively. The drawdown is that the knob to do that change gradually wear out to a point of too stiff. We just remove it and put on a new one. Good product overall. Oh, the two pieces are not magnetically attached to each other but rather with a dent to hold it in place.

Anything under $50 is usually 99.99% plastic, just checked, yep this is plastic.

I have this and that's exactly what happened to me. I contacted Delta and they replaced it free under warranty. No hassle other than the email. And this was after two years of use! Good for Delta.

I'm sure the plastic is fine if installed lightly and not touched often. But if you even tighten it a little too far, it's bound to crack. Or drop the sprayer, I'm sure the plastic is bound to weaken. I prefer the metal ones, it's much more forgiving, even if you tighten it a lot.
I rather have a broken shower head than chipped bath. Plastic is the way to go for me. Buy the ones with the pause button, much more convenient.

I've got one of these that I bought last year. It's fine, but 99% plastic. I plan to replace it sooner or later with something better built. This feels so cheap.

It states:
"LIFETIME LIMITED WARRANTY: You can install with confidence, knowing Delta shower heads are backed by Delta Faucet's Lifetime Limited Warranty"

"Delta Faucet Company shall not be liable for any damage to the faucet resulting from reasonable wear and tear, outdoor use, misuse (including use of the product for an unintended application), freezing water, abuse, neglect or improper or incorrectly performed installation, maintenance or repair, including failure to follow the applicable care and cleaning instructions."
I've had good experience with Delta replacing it by sending a whole new one regardless of the age of the unit. They don't even ask for receipt, just a picture of it.

But I don't know if I would want to deal with replacing the unit constantly. Hassle of it and your labor Smilie

As one Amazon reviewer states: Clunky and heavy.

There are advantages to plastic sometimes.

i have the same shower head but the slightly upgraded one with 1 extra setting (yeah whatever that means but looks identical to this one) that i got for 100$ back in 2017. No problems with it at all still works like new. Love that it latches on and doesnt fall like the moen one i had before that was only magnetic.

Delta so far for me is the best quality to price esp if you get an amazon open box deal or such. Best touch faucets i have all over the house. I tried no name brands that leak and rusted over time but this brand so far so good for me!

just wanted to throw my opinion in there!

I just received mine (in chrome) and am a bit disappointed. The entire back of it is a blackish dark grey, almost black color. Not light grey like in the Amazon pictures. Who in their right mind pairs chrome with dark grey? If you don't make it chrome all the way, at least make it blend in with a light grey.

Couldn't agree more. We have pricey shower tiles. A metal shower head swinging down and cracking a tile … not going to risk. Plastic with lifetime warranty is great

I've had this in use for years now. It's still working well. No cracking like some people claim (don't overtighten it, duh)
Also, the 'chrome' stays pretty good.
The only issue I've had recently after 6 years or so is that the piece that you pull doesn't stick in the holder very well anymore and if you bump the hose while showering the showerhead tends to fall out. Annoying but after 6+ years of normal use it's been worth it.I think I got it on a sale also for about this price or even less.
